I've finished about half of the book and all I have to say is that this is an amazing read. I really like the way Wade presents information and this book is the best in comparison with the other two that I've read: A Troublesome Inheritance and The Faith Instinct.For each topic, it goes deep enough to give an insight into the research that has been made yet not too deep to bore the reader. It's a great starting point for anyone interested in the evolutionary history of modern humans.

I loved it, very informative without being dry. It's a good read that covers all the major branches of hominids

This book by Nicolas Wade opens our eyes to what we are and where we come from. It also reveals to us the common threads that bind us all together. Wade writes in a style that flows and brings us along the river of Time. From his deeply researched book, we can now know that Life is something precious and should be valued. I'm eagerly awaiting Wade's newest book that is being released in May . Thanks again for allowing me the pleasure of reading such an insightful and eye-opening book.

A wonderful book with points presented in great detail. The casual reader might not fancy it but for people interested in human prehistory , it is quite a treat.
