This is a superb tool that after going through a learning process to use, will make your life in the garden and yard so much easier, and effective!We do a LOT of grafting of both fruit and vegetable plants, as well as ornamentals. This tool has been a tremendous boon to insuring that we have proper cuts on both plants, and then proper securing for ultimate success.There IS a learning curve, but once you're through it, you'll wonder how you ever lived in the garden without it! Highly recommended for avid gardeners, and would buy again if the need arose.

This tool made grafting easy. I have been trying for years to “save” a very old heirloom apple tree and have been grafting by hand with very limited success. The tree just doesn’t put out a lot of good scions. I bought this tool and grafted 31 root stocks this spring. 29 of them took! So I’ll give it 5 stars because it works. The only downsides are. 1) no instructions for changing blade 2) blade is soft metal (after 31 grafts the first set is completely dull). 3) the carrying case is a bit cheesy. 4) only came with one extra blade...not 3 as shown in the picture. 5) might cut 1/2” if blade is new, but after about 1-15 cuts, 3/8” was absolute max it could cut. I listed quite a few negatives but for a hobby Gardner this is a fantastic value.

Well, have been using a grafting knife in my orchard and again nicked my index finger pretty deeply so decided to give this a go. Per usual it arrived quickly and uneventfully from Amazon. It comes in a nice case to keep everything together as well as some grafting tape. The tool works as it should, nice even male and female cuts that fit together well. There will definitely be a size limit to the root stock and scions you can use with this but I think it will serve well for first year apple growth which is what I am working with. Has a little more plastic than I like and the ubiquitous made in China label. Thus the 4 stars rather than 5.

Grafted over 30 trees with multiple grafts on each tree. Blade is still extremely sharp. It works flawless I bought another one for my dad! I had been trying for years to get my fig tree grafted and it would always die or reject it. Now i have 5 dif grafts on my fig tree and EVERY SINGLE ONE WORKED! Im not a pro. But I sure feel like one with this thing!!

It only cuts thin twigs and is not sharp enough to have clean cuts. When you use it to make a grafting cut, it works at the same time as a pair of scissors. Not safe to use. I cut my hand when paying my full attention to the grafting cut. A sharp knife will do the job if you practice the cuts for a whip-and-tongue graft.

I haven't used it yet. Impressive, cutting tolerances perfect to being able to selling something like this. If this was built in the US it would probably cost $150. Just my perspective. Can't wait to use it.

I would like to give this pruner grafter 5 stars but it came to me defective and missing any instructions. It is probably ok but I won't know because of a broken lock. It is not advisable to change the blades without it being locked.

this tool is terrific for grafting scions into apple and pear trees. Works real well and makes a nice fitting interlocked cut. I can do a lot faster job with this tool. Real easy to use. Would recommend to everyone.
