Sadness of fish deaths at the 1 year mark
Our hearts are so heavy right now. We have loved, cared for, and enjoyed our school of these amazing creatures. They arrived 13 months ago, and brought us so much joy. Sadly, in the last two weeks, two of them have died. They lost the ability to float and move. We were heartbroken to find them laying on the floor of their watery home. Hopefully the remaining fishy brethren will survive to a ripe old age. However, right now we are leaving to pay honor to the deceased at their funeral. No flushing of the carcasses for these amazing creatures. They will be laid to rest in a place of the highest honor in our flower bed.
