Bosch Cordless Garden Keo Saw/Reciprocating Saw (Without Battery, 18 Volt System, Cutting Diameter 80 mm, with Swiss Precision Blade for Wood Included, in Carton Packaging)

The following is my review of the shears that fit to this handle, but includes info for the handle so seems relevant? :A couple of years ago I bought something similar which was cheap and did not last five minutes ... not because I am tight but because I could not find anything which came with a handle so you can walk along with it? (Bosch handle purchased at same time as this one).I had wanted to buy another clipper/shear but was dubious following my previous experience.I saw this, and that there was a handle available, and decided that Bosch were a reputable make and that even if it did break, I would have some come-back?My fears were unfounded, and it has proved to be an excellent tool, both on and off the handle. Charges quickly enough (around 30 minutes?), and charge last for a good 45-60 minutes with full functionality for the whole time (i.e. it does not become weak as the power runs out). Handle sturdy enough and adjustable for height and angle so easy to find comfortable position. You can also remove the wheels and use as an extension/long reach handle.Unit is light as hand-held and so not tiring to use. The two blades are very sharp and do not struggle with long grass (edging) nor trimming bushes.I would recommend buying the handle as well ... pricey but worth it.I have no fear of it breaking, and as it comes with a decent warranty I guess nor do Bosch?

We just cut a large number of branches off a medium-sized tree in our back garden (with a manual saw). That took several hours and an awful lot of effort. Then, I realised I'd need to cut each of those branches 8-10 times each (into manageable pieces for transport to the local dump) - so far I'd only had to cut them each the once!Enter the Bosch Keo, which I then ordered and used to clear the mountain of tree branches littering my back lawn. For branches up to a couple of inches thick, this is the perfect tool. Cuts through almost like butter. I think it's easiest with the supplied guard in-place, as this helps to keep the blade straight and makes cutting optimal, I find. Other reviewers have discussed using this saw for much larger branches - I think that is a mistake. This saw simply isn't designed for that. Likewise, for really small twigs (5mm or less), a pair of good seceteurs is best.Why did I choose this? Firstly, Bosch is always the highest quality. This product definitely lives up to that expectation. The second reason was that it has no mains cord. Climbing up a ladder to cut tree branches, I frankly don't trust myself with a coord dangling behind me.In summary then, perfect for small (1/2 inch diameter or more) to medium (2 inch) diameter branches. I wish I had bought this years ago.NB I have not tried cutting anything else - e.g. plastic, metal, etc.

This is a great little saw and the battery is decent for the size.The branch grip is a little fiddly and needed to be bent into the right shape but it works great.The catch is the safety feature. It's one where you have to push in a spring button so you can pull the trigger on the saw, which will lock the spring button safety in place - I understand why it's there, but I find it quite difficult to hold in the safety button while pressing the trigger to initialise it with one hand. It should be easy to open it up and take out the springs, though.Everything else is perfect. Good weight, feels robust, and it's quiet powerful - more than I expected from a rechargeable in this price range

I am used to a much bigger electric oscillating saw but that has mains cable and is much heavier and needs 2 hands. This little Bosch Keo is good in that it can comfortably be used one handed while holding onto a ladder for access up a tree. It will not cut big wood but is very handy to get into small spaces where I could not have got a bow saw or smaller hedging saw.

I bought this for my husband who finds it excellent. Makes pruning larger branches very easy.

The saw can cut through small branches within a few seconds and the branch hook can easily be removed for larger branches.For reference some things I have used this for include cutting a door in half, cutting wooden ladders, Christmas tree and small apple tree branches.One thing to be aware of is it does not use the multi-use Bosch battery that comes with the Bosch drill which was disappointing. The saw uses its own built-in battery which I would estimate does not have more than 15 minutes of continuous cutting time. The blade included is very good on dry wood, but would not recommend it for damp wood as it did struggle with some thicker logs.Overall this product does what it is designed for very well, at a reasonable price point. Blades are easy to replace so should be a reliable saw you can use for garden maintenance for a long time.

It works well and certainly speeds up the process of trimming the lawn edges, especially when used with the extension arm. On the downside, it is a bit expensive, getting on for around half the price of the actual tool it attaches to. The actual blade assembly appears to be a bit cheaper, but never seems to be available anywhere....... Also the original blade assembly became quite blunt much quicker than I expected after around 2 years use. Bosch technical support expressed surprise regarding this as apparently no one had complained about it previously.

je me suis procuré cet appareil afin d'aider une personne âgée à couper des branches qui lui sont difficiles avec un sécateur traditionnel l'appareil est de bonne facture et la qualité Bosch est reconnu par rapport à d'autres produits similaires qui n'ont pas l'air de pouvoir durer dans le temps de plus le fait de pouvoir utiliser des batteries pour d'autres appareils Bosch fidélise évidemment le client qui a soit un souci de dépenses ou un souci d'écologie en bref très utile pour des personnes ayant des problèmes dans les mains et pour tout autre personne qui désire se faciliter la tâche.
