Ultimate Outburst - the Game of Verbal Expressions - 1999

I love good, fun board games. The educational aspect is a bonus, which this one meets. We brought this one over to a friend's house and we had a blast. Everyone got into the game and we all got so animated. This can be played with the family and/or friends. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes board games that are both fun and educational. The only negative thing I can say about this game is: once we go through the entire deck of cards, it won't be challenging anymore and so will be sitting in the closet...waiting for someone else to play it.

Had an older 'Outburst" (standard) game and was ready to upgrade to a newer version. SO disappointed. Not sure who did any QA check or testing with these new cards but there are LOTS of repeats on each and every card in the stacks. So, when you think you have 10 opportunities to match, you really don't, cause one match is used twice. This affects the ability to score. On several cards I've seen so far, there are actually TRIPLICATES. Outburst as a game is a great one......but the QA process / content of actual included cards on this version of the game is horrible and I would not recommend anyone purchase this version.

I was very disappointed in the QUALITY. Had the original OUTBURST and loved the game. The upgraded version has a second way to play (think Jeopardy). I went through the first 25 cards in this set and found that 22 of them had at least one duplicate in the 10 items listed, several as many as two and three. I looked at two or three in the regular set and found one duplicate right away, but was so disgusted I didn't look further. I also noticed that on far too many of the cards, when inserted into the reader, they were barely readable as the print was too faint. This is why I purchased the new set. My old set, nearly 30 years old, had faded so much, it was difficult to read the words in the reader.

I purchased this for my wife but we all got suckered into playing it and we have a blast with it. The kids can play too, but more as a helping hand since some of the subjects are way too far before their time. Glad I finally listened to her lol.

Great game!! Use to play it often but bought this one because my old one was so faded out. It is so fun to play!!
