its very sturdy for a glass pipe i love the downward slope the violet pipes have instead of the lily pipes.Theres only enough surface agitation for light gas exchange without letting out all the co2.That it slopes down like that is a lot better.It has more circulation at the bottom.The only bad thing is the suction cups dont fitI have the violet pipe on top of the suction cups until I can get a pair that fit!

I use with my Fluval 307. Fit almost perfectly. Had to wrap some duct tape around the bottom edge to thicken it up a little before sliding the outtake hose on - but it's hidden under the hose.

I used to have a normal lily pipe, and although the surface agitation was great for oxygen exchange, it was so much agitation that I had to run my CO2 at 6 BPS. After changing to this violet pipe, I can run my CO2 at 1 BPS (much less mist/bubbles all around the tank) and still maintain 30ppm CO2. The flow is pointed toward the lower part of the tank. I have a 20G long tank and it's working great for it so far. Plants have perked up noticeably. You may have to run an airstone in conjunction to keep oxygen up for your fauna.This violet pipe is sturdy and well made. If you want flow directed to the bottom of the tank, get this!

I received this as a gift. I absolutely love it. It looks great! Not too much you can say about it other than the appearance. I felt like the glass was sturdy enough that I had no problem sliding the 5/8”IDx7/8”OD hose that is attached to a Fluval 207 canister filter.

This is a great little lily pipe; it does exactly what I needed. Its a great size for short tanks like your typical 10 gallon or 20 gallon-long, and directs the water outward and downward at about 35-40 degree angle. I would recommend being ready to gett some better suction cups, though. The ones that came with mine were very rigid, and didn't stick for more than a few hours. I replaced them with some older Jardli cups that came from an older Jardli lily pipe set, and have had no problems since. I am willing to bet its hit or miss depending on what random suction cups they were able to source while packaging these.

I was looking for a filter outflow diverter that would not disrupt the surface while still creating water movement throughout the tank. This dips low enough in the tank while projecting largely horizontally, so it does pretty a good job promoting appropriate water movement. Not unimportantly, too, it's presence in the tank is relatively unobtrusive since it is made of clear (and decent quality) glass.

Like I said, it’s impossible to place this on a tube. So basically garbage.

I have ordered several products from this company and have been extremely pleased with the quality. Yes its glass and if not properly done right it will break because its glass but you have to soak the hose in hot water prior to putting the hose onto the pipes
