Hunten Outdoors 1-6-Volt SLA Battery Pack with Strap

I got this and the Hunten solar panel so I could add, rechargable, external power to my WGI trail camera... now I don't have to change the batteries in my camera every 2 weeks.Some things to note... this DOES NOT come with a battery... you have to get a battery separately... I got a deal on a 4-pack of 6V SLA batteries for $20... look around... plenty of deals liek that on amazon (and other sources as well... sportsman outdoors is a great source for these parts too).If you can find a deal on a 6volt solar panel, then you can add it to this box, and then run the plug from the box to the camera... I ofund that the hunten solar panel was the best deal for the money so I got their solar panel too.My only complaint is that the strap is kinda short... but I just used some 550 cord to strap it to the tree (100 yards of 550 cord is abotu $3 at walmart in the hardware setcion) and it holds just fine.Aside from that it is just what I needed.

Using this battery pack with a Hunten camera. The pack does not come with a battery, it should be noted. The Hunten 6v battery fits fine into the unit, although the battery comes with no charging instructions. Anyway, as for the battery pack, the strap is a little on the short side, so it's not going to fit around your average size tree. Also, there is no means of locking the battery pack box...to anything. No holes in the unit for a cable lock or padlock. This is a major oversight, however the same can be said for the camera itself, it only comes with a very small hole for a very thin cable that only locks the camera unit to a tree, but someone could still open the camera cover and take the SD card or change settings. As for weather protection, the pack does a fine job of keeping moisture out of the box and off the battery. Overall, the battery pack serves its purpose, however by simply adding a longer tree strap and a means to lock the unit would garner a 5 star rating. I am always concerned about the unit being stolen.

THE COVERT IS A SIZE B. I FOUND A WEBSITE CUSTOM1ENTERPRISES THAT SELLS A ADAPTOR FOR 10 BUCKS. LOVE THE SET UP FOR HOME AND HUNTING PURPOSES.

Works as advertised. However, the strap broke first use.

I like it, better than changing batteries all the time. I also bought 2 6v 4ah rechargeable batteries to swap a charged battery with a depleted one. I highly recommend it.

They work great. My camera lasts about 3 to 4 months using this with a fully charged battery. Thinking of putting a solar panel on it to maximize its use even more.

I like this battery holder because you can hook a battery charger to the bottom with out running wires, just plug it in. Works real good.
