Looks great in our laundry room
This shelf is a great value. Assembly not too difficult.

Looks great, easy to put together, but mounting was tough
Our entryway had no coat hooks or a place to sit to put on shoes when we moved in, and this product is made of decent materials with an attractive appearance for the price. It was tough finding something that wouldn't completely block our light switch or keep us from getting to our power outlet (behind the bench), but this did the trick. It was really easy to put together, and we're really happy with it now that we've finished the project of mounting it. However, that was no easy task.Other reviews touch on this, but you will absolutely need to mount this in wall studs if you want it to stay up and hold coats. The shelf is already heavy on its own and the mounting system is somewhat flimsy. Get some extra 3-inch screws for both the mounting bracket and the shelf itself. Make sure you have a long enough drill bit for pilot holes before you start, and get really good quality hardware. We sheared off more than one screw in our wall while putting this up.Also note that the shelf doesn't have a complete back behind the shelves. As in, you can see some wall through the cubbies. I took another reviewer's advice and cut up three pieces of the box this came in to make cubby inserts to cover the back. I covered them in fabric to match the color of the shelf and you can't tell that it's not a part of the unit even when you're standing in front of it. Annoying that you have to do that at all, but not too hard to deal with. The manufacturer should consider adding pieces to the product in the future rather than hiding the back of the cubbies with plants in the product photos.

Straightforward
This product was straightforward to assemble and install. The illustration is shaded to show the white vs wood colored sides, which helped. Docked a star because I was missing some dowels and a screw for the french cleat system. I can see this being a bit heavy or unwieldy for some. That said, I had a harder time finding the studs in my house than I did putting this together.

An attractive, practical solution for a fair price
I purchased this shelf for my mudroom to go along with the 3-cube bench that matches it. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. It was a compromise between my budget and my desire to purchase a piece of functional furniture that fit into a set space to solve a storage problem. It went together in about an hour. It would have taken less time, but the instructions telling you to install the two little 'gable' dividers in the middle to create the cubes did not mention there were two drill-holes in the back that needed to line up with a back support that was added afterwards. After I screwed the entire thing together, I realized my error and had to take it apart again. It is a problem that can be easily rectified by the manufacture by depicting and also stating clearer directions about the gables having a 'right' and 'wrong' end. Other than that, this shelf went together like a dream. For those weighing cost, this shelf is pressboard, not real wood (as was truthfully advertised). I knew what I was getting when I bought it and am happy with what I purchased, but a novice buyer should be aware that pressboard, once you damage it, is difficult to repair. Unlike real wood, if it gets damaged, you can't simply cobble it back together with wood glue and a couple of screws and then repaint it. Since this product hangs on the wall, it is unlikely to see the kind of abuse that its matching bench will suffer and will likely last much longer. However, I do foresee one potential area for 'failure.' The piece of wood that holds the four coat-hooks is screwed in at either end, but not in the middle. Nor is there a place to attractively drill a hole through into the wall without the screws showing. I ended up drilling one anyways because, being pressboard, after a while, it is going to sag. If I had to make one recommendation to the manufacturer, it would be to include one of those little steel brackets in the middle of the back (where it's not visible) to attach the bottom-back to the bottom-shelf in the middle. A top-down screw won't do much. It's pressboard. After a while, the screw will just tear out.The other warning ... heaving this shelf up onto the wall-bracket is a two-man job!The verdict ... I am very happy with my purchase and, unless you pull it off the wall and look at the back of it, you would never know it was pressboard. It is a handsome unit and an excellent value for the money. I would consider using this manufacturer again. I bought the matching bench and am happy with that, as well.

Spectacular and good customer support from manufacturer
Writing this review well over a year after I made my purchase. This product is amazing and beautiful.Do not use the screws they send with to mount to the wall, they’re cheap and strip easily. Get some quality ones from your local hardware store in the same size.I bought one for my room in order to help organize my collection of cardigans and jackets I use most frequently and it absolutely surpassed my wildest dreams. Working retail I have entirely way too many clothes and surpassed the weight limit (I probably had 20 clothing items and books and decorations) and the support bracket that mounts to the wall broke.I loved it so much I ordered a replacement.Obeying the weight limit and removing the books weighing it down I never had a problem.I recently moved and wanted to move this product with me I love it so much. I just can’t remove the mounting bracket due to the screws being stripped upon installation. I did need to use a screw that I had offhand from Lowe’s and that one came out just fine.I wound up not being able to remove the bracket from the wall in the old house, but called the manufacturer and they issued a one time replacement part. Should have done that from the get go instead of ordering a whole new one, but oh well.Gonna look and what other product this manufacturer sells, but gonna provide my own wall mounting screws.13/10 would buy (did buy) again.

I love the design of it
We bought it together with the bench. I love the design of it. We have a very small entrance room, but the shelf fitted very well and there is no problem to open the door, because the's not very wide. So, this shelf will be good for those who has a small entrance hall. It's very very specious: we use the upper part for hats, bike helmets, and the lover part to hand jackets and my purses. It was very easy to adjust, the instructions were very easy to read. The best part of it - is the color. It is not easy to find a furniture of this type of color rather then white, black, or brown. It said grey in the description, but the real color is a mix of grey and beige, and it looks rich, the same as on the picture. The reason why I don't give it 5 stars- it's a quality. Its not a wood. The shelf made of wood chips and it is very easy to damage it or chip the piece ( that what happened with our bench that we bought together). So you have to be very carefull not to hang or put stuff with sharp metal things, or to hit with something, if you want it to have a presentable look for more then 3 years.

Great shelf and coat hook
We are very pleased with this shelf. It is very sturdy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that some of the wood laminate was a bit imperfect but overall it is a great product and looks excellent in our entry way.I would HIGHLY recommend to add a couple more long screws through the back of the shelf to the studs. They only thing holding the shelf to the wall mount is the particle board pieces slotted together, which we didn't think was very safe as the shelf is quite heavy and you're going to hang things on it.

Like it
Bought this because it was a matcing piece with the bench and two tall shoe racks that we purchased. Pretty easy to put together. Just be very careful when you are attaching the two dividers for the cubby's that you have the screw hole ( that is on each of them) in the correct position. If you don't, the unit will still go together pefectly, but when you go to attach the back piece the screw holes will not line up and you will have to take it apart to reposition them like I did. Grrrrrr. Other than that I had no issues with the assembly. Husband will mount it tomorrow and I'm sure it will look great:)

Looks great! Good addition to any entry-way
I bought the matching foot stool/cubby for this so with both of them on my entry-way, it adds a classy look to my home. The product was easy to assemble, did it in about 15 minutes even though there was lots of parts. Came with some extra pegs and screws which is nice(in case you accidentally drop one and lose it to a heating grate or hungry cat)Mounting it is a 2 person job though, as it's not exactly light, but really not that heavy. My one comment is that the mounting screws that were supplied are very frail... I power drill ate through the screw hole like it was butter so I had to use 2.5" wood screws instead. I won't take any points away from the product due to the cheap mounting screws though, I recommend this nonetheless.
