Perfect. I had to replace the one I have had for 50 years. Perfect for camping. This one is stainless steal. It will last as long as I need a camping toaster. I’ll be passing it down to my son.

It’s gonna make toast on your camp stove that’s for sure. It collapses nice for storage and the toast takes a bit longer than an electric machine but hey we’re camping. The shiny finish does change to a matte burned look - this does not affect performance.Tip - when you flip the toast to get the other side, also give it a lateral flip. If the bottom stays down the whole time it can burn.

I used this toaster in our motorhome on the propane burner. It takes a few minutes to toast the toast but does an excellent job. I love it.

I think we will continue making Texas toast when camping. This item is pretty cool if you are willing to wait a long time. Our bread dried out but never browned when we have used it on a natural gas or propane stove. We have not tried it on a campfire yet. Personally, I feel like Texas toast - buttered and in a pan is quicker and easier and yummier.We are not returning this item as we want to try it on a campfire … if we don’t love it well Goodwill will benefit and hopefully someone that adores it.

Works as it should and how that design has worked for many many years.

Use almost daily on our camp stove in duck blind. Does a great job making toast

Not as good as a regular toaster, but pretty good for a campfire or propane camp stove. We like it.
