They appear to work!
These packets were easy to place. They were not messy, nor did they require any special -- other than common sense -- handling. I collect old magazines, pamphlets, brochures, etc. and, needless to say, these can be a silverfish banquet hall! I try and keep my treasures organized and packaged so they aren't conveniently available for noshing on, but that's not always quite possible; I'd begun seeing the hairy multi-legged silverfish scuttling -- and they are remarkably fast -- across the floor occasionally, and when you see them, you know you got 'em! After a little research for an effective remedy to the problem, I decided to give the topic product a try based on user reports -- I went ahead and ordered these through Amazon, and, as is typical, got them within a day or two. Spread them out on what I deemed to be 'runs' and noticed, after about a week, I wasn't seeing them anymore! Several weeks have elapsed now, and still NO more silverfish! Knock on wood! I'm hoping this product is responsible for the disappearance of the 'print' devastators -- and I will recommend it accordingly. To be on the safe side, suggest you get a couple of boxes (I did), because, like any insect-type repellent, they should be replaced periodically. A little pricey, but worth it when you consider the cost (and location time involved) of replacing a rare or scarce publication!:>)DWO

It Rids the Silverfish
I saw a "silverfish" in the bathroom so I bought these to address the problem-- Haven't seen any since I put out these "paks". I had used them a few years ago and they resolved the problem then as well-- Guess it was time to "reapply". I'll try to be more "proactive" this time around-- this product works.

They definitely HELP, but they will not completely eliminate the issue
They only last about 2-3 months before you’ll need to replace them and the silverfish start appearing again. It’s not completely fool proof. I put about 6 in each cabinet and 4 in each drawer. I definitely found LESS silverfish but occasionally still see some

They work!
Works well. I put the little packets behind my books in my study and in my filing cabinets. There is no smell or mess. They keep silverfish away. You can tell they are working as you may see a tiny nibble on the edges of them, and find a few dead silverfish from time to time, but no live ones!

Fewer silverfish
These are super easy to toss behind books on my book self, up on closet shelves, or wherever I see a silverfish. They are dry little packets that are easy to hide. They are quite pricey but I have been using them for many years and I am satisfied with the result. I started writing dates on them so when I come across old ones I know which ones to throw out.

Not effective
Not effective at all. Didn’t do anything and our house is still full of silverfish

It works
While I occasionally still spot some silverfish around the Dekko paks, they do seem to be effective. There's been about an 80% reduction in their presence compared to before I started using them.

Recommended by Pros & Easy to Use
This review is for Dekko Silverfish Paks DEK1002 (Pack of 2). I was running into an issue with silverfish. I was killing about one a day, including babies, in my bathroom or the bedroom/closet of the next room over. So, I am thinking that I must have some level of infestation of them since this more than that occasional one that I find. I read multiple articles about how to get rid of silverfish. These Dekko Silverfish Paks came up a couple of times as a top recommendation in these articles. There are multiple packs in each box. They are just thin, maybe 1/8th of an inch thick, and about 3" x 2". Silverish eat paper, wool, and a lot of other fabrics. Years ago, I once found a pair of wool slacks with random holes in them from silverfish. So, these Silverfish Paks are made of poison infused paper. During quick visual inspections, I haven't noticed any holes eaten out of them, but I haven't touched them since placing them around the bathroom and closet. I have seen silverfish less frequently; however, I do still see them. So, it is difficult to tell if these Silverfish Paks are working or not.
