Works fine
Just as the headline says, it works fine, as described. However it is slight smaller than it should be, it doesn't completely cover the whole/fill the plastic filter. It leaves maybe a mm of space between the edge. It's not a huge problem, but it does allow a bit of grounds to escape. The mesh screen is mesh and a bit more brittle than the picture makes it look. Occasionally I've had trouble locking the cup into place if the filter is misaligned.

good. we were worried it wouldn't work with our finer grain coffees but it does. The only thing we dislike about it is that the filter can be hot when you pop the grains out and requires a little more work than the disposable filters (which we compost anyways)

Totally worth it if you have an Aeropress
Love the F filter. Rarely gets stuck even with fine grinds. A must have for the aero press. It leaves a super fine grind in the bottom of the cup and keeps more oil in the coffee. I love it.I press inverted, place the filter and cap, press it out in about 15-30 seconds with 180 degree water. Best cup of coffee you can get unless you get an espresso machine. Even then the aero press wins for speed and ease and cleanup.I compost my spent beans and this f filter slides right off and the grinds pop right out. Rinse the f filter in the cap for about 2 seconds under the and done.I’ve been using the same filter for about 10 years every day. It’s a little stretched out but it still works. I ordered this one for my wife’s aero press so we could brew two cups at once.Totally worth it.

Meh...
Even with a bur grinder it's hard to get the grind right for this, the paper filter allows you to grind very fine, and this requires a bit smaller than French press. Not as big a fan of the taste with the larger grind.

More terpenes means tastier coffee!
More porous than paper filters, but this is easily countered by using the Inverted Aeropress method. Just put the plunger in partway, then turn the Aeropress upside-down. Now use the funnel to put your coffee grounds in. Add hot water, stir, and put on the filter and cap. Let the Aeropress sit upside-down for a minute or so, allowing the hot water and coffee to brew. Then put your coffee cup over the end and quickly turn everything right side up. Slowly press the plunger as usual. Bingo, a wonderful French press style coffee ala Aeropress, sans coffee grounds! Two of the terpenes that lend flavor to coffee are cafestol and kahweol. Both have a high affinity for plant matter, including paper. Paper filters absorb these terps. Metal filters allow more of these powerful, oily compounds to make it into your cup.Aeropress coffee made with a metal filter has a somewhat more French press flavor, while keeping the mouthfeel clean. It is delicious and strong.Be forewarned that these terpene oils are believed to raise cholesterol levels.

Durable and well-fitted
This filter sees daily use, and it has held up well. The mesh is wonderfully fine, yet well considered. It is not so fine that you cannot push your coffee through it, even when using esspresso grind, nor is it so coarse as to make you drink silt from the bottom of the cup if you have used espresso grind. I do prefer a coarser grind than espresso and I recommend that for the AeroPress, as per their instructions--but if all you had were finer coffee, this would still do the job. I'm pleased and I'd order it again if I needed one--but this one is enough.

Weak coffee
Easy to clean. But makes weak coffee

Works Great
Challenge is not to let it go into the recycle bin along with the used coffee grounds. I have had to fish mine out multiple times. Probably my imagination that the coffee comes out better with this metal filter compared to the paper filter. But dont regret the switch. Keeping paper as a backup in case I lose the metal one in the bin.
