Yes, they can be mounted straight to the window frame. Check your measurements carefully.

Q: Do I need to drill into wall to install this blinds ?

Yes, but only to fit the brackets. After that all you have to do is clip the cassette into the brackets. I was fortunate in that I didn't have to drill into the plaster and use rawl plugs because there was already a timber batten mounted on the wall above the window opening and I just used a fine drill bit to make it easier to screw into the wood to fit the brackets.

Q: Can these work as blackout blinds?

Hello; It cannot be used as a complete blackout blind. But your night use option is also available in this product.
