I have this book so bought for a friend.

the information in the book is GREAT!! ~HOWEVER~ the frickin format SUCKS CANAL WATER!! whomever thought this arse-backwards format was "cute" needs to be SHOT!! the book is annoying in the extreme. i have to go to the index in the back to find EXACTLY what info i need, then peruse a SUPER annoying page or 2 to find the lil snippet i need. i dig that the author/publisher were kinda maybe going for an old fashioned newspaper type format, WELL STOP THAT CRAP!! IT"S IRRITATING!! yeah, great information contained within. HUGE pain in the BUTT trying to wade through the rest of it, Dear Gods it doesn't need to be this cruddy...it isn't cute, it isn't amusing..it's painfully annoying! it is SO bad? that this WILL be the VERY last book i go to to find information.it isn't 1929 anymore guys, get with the PROGRAM!! now i see why i got the HARCOVER for 1 cent!!by the way? the seller was AWESOME!!whoever decided on this truly FUBAR-ed format needs to have their momma whoop em time or 2 to knock some sense into em.once again, good info, bad format. done.

All his books are written in a very easy to read format. there are many pictures, illustrations, and funny statements. if you have any problems around the house or garden, he will solve it. Even if you don't have any issues, you will want to read it and be informed. there are so many tips and tricks for you to save on money, be environmentally friendly, why use chemicals for insects when you can use garlic and pepper? I found this book to be a really great resource for those everyday problems that I encounter with my health, cleaning or just need an easier way to do something. The nice part about it all is that you don't have to spend a huge amount of money purchasing items you don't have, as most of these items the author suggests are in my cabinets or refrigerator! I am very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend this book if you want to get back to the "simple remedies or fixes" in your life.

lots of good ideas

I wanted to reduce my shopping bill & try more natural products that are well established & known to work. This book has a vast solutions using few items that don't cost a packet. It even gives advice on how to make cleaning solutions like vinegar.
