These worked well as brackets for a pool gate. Went with the black ones but built the same way.

Good luck drilling more holes if you need to
The seller answered a question here that you can drill holes in these. Well, maybe, if you have the right equipment. These seem to be hardened stainless steel and drilling in that material requires finesse and proper tools and TIME. Even using oil and cobalt bits I ruined three bits trying to add holes to these (which eventually I managed). A bona fide drill press may be needed, or take to a machine shop and pay the cost and let them worry about it.It's a good product otherwise - love the countersunk holes.

Good sturdy brackets with a brushed finished
Solid heavy brackets.The holes are countersunk and they come with screws.The metal has a brushed finish which looks very smart.

They don't cover the whole 2x4
On the face of the 2x4 they only go up about 3/4 of the way up. The screws are small I used my own.
