Excellent book!!
I bought this book because my 10 year old ADHD/ASD kiddo wanted to try some recipes and I wanted recipes that were lower sugar. The pictures are great and the book looks awesome. It has a lot of information as well as recipes. It also has the science behind the information. I was already a fan of Noakes and now I am doubly so.It arrived a few days ago and my kiddo was super excited! He has gone through the whole book and put post it notes on the recipes he wants to try. Today we made the chocolate milk, banana milk, raspberry and vanilla pops. I really like what I’ve tasted so far and I give my kiddo a big pat on the back for trying everything!A few things to note:- some of the serving sizes are too much (for example, the chocolate milk makes one big serving and the recipe calls for 3c of milk, so we split the whole recipe between four of us and were satisfied)- lower sugar in some of the recipes is somewhat of a stretch (for example, we were making the banana pops and we split the bananas in half for a serving instead of a banana each and tomorrow when we drink the banana milk, we’ll split it between several of us as well)Less of an issue is I found a typo already in the index.I would definitely recommend this book and most likely will once I’ve gotten through it all.

NO MORE SUGAR for kids, period. Not even agave only dried fruits, fruits, berries stevia sodas
My Man studies this book. He wants to feed our kids like this. I see there is no sugar, not even agave. I like that. I can give up sugar. Then you cannot eat rice or potatoes or pasta, just meat fat fat cheese avocados milk cream...etc...but no grains. No SUGAR. I also think Tim Noakes is getting sued by sugar industry this month, they dont want his anti sugar message out there especially for kids.

Very well written
Since kids are my toughest customers when it comes to food, I had to purchase this book. I find that I like some of the recipes better than my kids. They have liked some of the things I have prepared from the book. I think this is very well written although I did stumble a bit at the metric measurements but have been happy to better learn the metric system and apply it in the kitchen.

THIS SHOULD BE THE GOLD STANDARD ON CHILDHOOD NUTRITION!!!
Love this book!. Very well written and gorgeous pictures! Excellent recipes. But only follow these recommendations if you want to optimize your child's physical and brain development, while drastically reducing dental disease. All others can stick with a processed food diet. I have come to realize that any work done by Tim Noakes and his Foundation is FIRST CLASS!!!!. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK PROFESSOR NOAKES!

well-written & tasty, but not ideal for cooking WITH kids
Recipes are very good. Unfortunately, the head on approach of health messaging really repelled my 5yr old who is a confident reader and didn’t like the idea of a book full of specifically healthy food. Wish the authors had taken a more creative kid friendly approach - I can use this to cook for her but not with her.

Good information but the recipes need work.
I really appreciate the recipes in here, but at least with my kids, getting them to eat most of the dishes will be extremely challenging. Making it harder is that this is written using South African type dishes and ingredients (i.e. courgettes and aubergines). Still there is enough useful information to be helpful.Major cons: I wish they would have provided nutrition information for each recipe (carb content etc.) and some of the prep work is not well explained in the recipes.

Beautiful book. Lots of recipes that anyone
Beautiful book. Lots of recipes that anyone, not just children can enjoy. The science section is well written with great pictures. Love the book. It will be a "keeper" along with all my other books on LCHF and will sit next to my book titled, "The Art and Science of Low Carb Living".

Even reluctant teens enjoy this
I bought The Real Meal Revolution several years ago, and have generally followed a low carb high fat diet since then. I am a doctor with a lot of experience of patients with Type 2 diabetes, and wish I could get them all to follow this. However, my children have been reluctant to follow their 'crazy ' mother's example. I found this book last week. I've made at least ten recipes so far, all of which have been well received. The worst feedback, from the 13 year old when eating the cauliflower pizza, was ' it's not actually that nice ' before finishing it. Which I consider a success. The difference from the adult book is, more inclusion of root vegetables such as sweet potato, sweet dishes including honey, and overall generally a great mix of child friendly recipes, which still abide by the 'banting' principles. If you are new to the concept of high fat low carb food, I would encourage you to try this book and it's recipes. Even if you are already a believer, it has great, child friendly, recipes.

Exactly what I was looking for
While I am not completely in the dark about what I should and shouldn't feed my child on a regular basis, I wanted something that would confirm that I was thinking along the right lines. This book is exactly what I was looking for. A great book containing sound advice and some fantastic recipes that I will also enjoy alongside my little one. What I love is the lunchbox ideas, particularly as I was struggling with this. They look very simple yet nutritious and tasty. I would strongly recommend this book to any parent.

Best book on feeding children
Love everything about this book - the good clear advice, the way the book is divided into sections for different children’s age groups, the delicious recipes and beautiful photographs. I use it when cooking for my grandchildren and have bought additional copies for my daughters.I wonder if a similar book for adults might be useful - broken down into age groups? 20s to 40s, 50s to 70s and 80s to 100s?

Don't buy the kindle version, it's unreadable!
The Kindle version seems to be made of images of each page and so it's impossible to make the font big enough to read on the kindle paperwhite. This should be explained before you buy it! Is hard to read on a phone too but not impossible.

Some delicious recipes for children and adults alike. This is a definite must have. I have Felt much better since cutting down on refined carbs and sugar after purchasing The Wheat Belly Diet. This book might just be the one to put safe my family to follow suit.
