Smooth sliding
Installed and worked as needed for a sound system install in Alaska. Couldn't have asked for a smoother product!

Caution - Deep rack required
The rails are well made and rugged but require a 24 inch deep rack at a minimum. You'll also have to have square holes in the back and preferably the front as well.I tried using rack extensions but the rack posts push the backs of the rails inward and the NAS wont slide in.These are also overkill for smaller rackmount units like the RS820+. Just a set of generic rails + the "ears" on the front of the unit will work fine.If you have a large rack and a large Synology NAS to mount in it, these rails are probably perfect.

Couldn't have mounted the unit correctly without these. Excellent addition to the original purchased product!

Good rail system needs better information
I purchased three of these for three separate projects. Was unable to use any of them due to the lack of depth dimensions. None of them fit into the server racks I purchased because the server rack depths were just short of the length of the rails. Synology has great products but need to make sure they include all the specifications so the proper products are ordered.

They say what they do and they do what they say
They attach to the cabinet, they hold the Synology and they slide smoothly. Not much else to say really.
