A book for B-52 "Buffs"
An excellent, well-illustrated, and very informative source for aviation enthusiasts and modelers. This brief pamphlet is an excellent updated adjunct to Squadron/Signal's other books about the B-52.

Excellent addition
Mr. Katz has written a very concise and beautifully illustrated overview of the B-52, focusing on the last production models, the G and H versions. The format of the Squadron "In Action" books keeps them fairly short, but the author hit the salient points, with an emphasis on the upgraded versions that are still in service. The B-52 has been in service for over 50 years, and is expected to remain in service, with further upgrades, for another 50 years. It is the most long-lived combat aircraft in the US inventory, and, as such, should be of interest to aviation and military buffs of all interests. The book is full of excellent colour photos of the aircraft, with many close-up detail shots. There is also a very nice selection of nose art. The author addresses the history of these aircraft from the Cold War to the current/recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.I recommend this book very highly for followers of aviation and military history, and especially for model builders who want to get the details right for their B-52 project.Full disclosure: I was sent a copy for review.
