To start with, this is a very strong and pungent fragrance. It has a lot of sweet, earthy and complex notes, but it also has the drawback of being very animalic as well. In terms of Lattafa oud fragrances, this one is pretty low ranking in terms or mass appeal and wearability. Lattafa makes many quality and enjoyable fragrances at a reasonable price, but this one may not be everyone's cup of tea. If you wear it a few times, the scent starts to grow on you and the composition makes sense. However, if you are unfamiliar with oud fragrances and are looking to try one for the first time, I would not recommend starting with this one. Having said that, if you are looking for an avant garde oud scent with a challenging note profile, then it's worth a try.

Great seller, fast shipping. As for the fragrance, I'm just not getting the rose at all. I have several of Lattafa's other originals along with other brands. If you already have Opulent Musk or Oud Mood, you won't need this one. They're not identical, as Iconic Oud is not as sweet and doesn't have the gourmand notes as the other two. Other than that though, the fragrance profile is similar enough to be fraternal twins. If you're really looking for a lot of rose, go with Swiss Arabian's Sehr Al Sheila, or for some dark, jammy rose but also lots of woods, Swiss Arabian's Shaghaf Oud Aswad (one of my favorites). Both are in the general vein of Narciso Rodriguez For Her (the black bottle), although far from being clones.
