This product is a rip off and should be pulled off the shelves. If i could give it 0 stars i would.1. First of all, the box inside the amazon packaging was severely damaged, and upon opening it i discover 2 key frame parts for the hood were bent beyond use. Clearly Littermaid does not care about their customers, because this should never have left the warehouse.2. The kit isn't worth the money. The hood is very cheaply constructed and wouldn't have work even if the frame wasn't bent. What you get in the package is maybe $10 worth of plastic poop trays and carpet. You get all of these things with the standard self cleaning litter box, there's nothing "elite" about it...and it's definitely not worth $45...again SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!3. CHECK THE PRODUCT NUMBER!!! Everything i saw suggested that this would fit on the self cleaning litter box i ordered...it did not. It was even part of the "bought together" advertisement on the bottom of the page...which means if the two products are bought together frequently...i'm not the first person to get screwed by that ad.The self cleaning litter box i got works great, it's just a shame the accessories aren't worth a damn.

This is a good selection of accessories if you have a Littermaid Elite Mega. The privacy tent is really a necessity if your cat is like mine and flings the litter everywhere...it really cuts down on the amount of litter that gets out of the box. It is very simple to assemble and install and easy to take off it you want to clean thoroughly. The mat is good too..it helps keep any tracked litter localized and makes cleanup easier. I am very pleased with this purchase.

IF THEY MEAN SELF-CLEANING AS IN YOU HAVE TO SCOOP OUT THE LITTER BOX YOURSELF, THEN THIS CRAP WORKS GREAT. FOR ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS DON'T THE OLDER MODEL IS BETTER. IT MAY NOT BE AS BIG BUT IT REALLY DOES WHAT YOU BROUGHT IT TO DO.

The litter box cover is flimsy and frequently popped out of place by my cats. I could also see cats who like to scratch just shredding this thing, but I haven't had that problem. That said, it is a nice bit of privacy and has a good look to it.The replacement waste receptacles are a different size than what came with the box, and they all leave a gap between the box and the receptacle -- this means I get huge piles of litter on the floor every time it scoops.The carbon filters do nothing and don't stay in place anyway.

This kit has made a huge difference in the amount of kitty litter that ends up on the floor. I have an extremely active/playful male bengal who thinks the litter box is another toy for him. He likes to tear around and dive into the litter box...then peel out sending kitty litter flying all over the place...he thinks he is a top fuel dragster. The large carpet is a definite improvement over small throw rugs...it is easier to clean up and stiffer so it lays flat on the floor (this curtails playing bull dozer and rendering the carpet useless).

WOW!!! I was skeptical about this purchase for it was costly. But worth every penny. Noise level is quiet, tent keeps litter inside, Oliver (orange tabby) loves it. Has an digital timmer on back to time when you want it to clean. The blades slide out for easy cleaning. It's easy to put together with simple instructions. Good quality and made strudy to last. Love it.
