I received it two days ago and installed it myself. Not too hard to install but need to have some experience with plumbing. Removed the outer ring holding the jet, then the jet ball fell off. Then I had to remove the fitting that came with the jet ball and was threaded to the pool's wall outler. Used a two inch wide piece of aluminum I luckily had in the garage. After all was done, threading in this piping was easy.I don't think it make any significant difference in cooling the pool but as a minimum, it does look nice.My only concern was longevity because the plastic piping was not the same material as PVC piping. I'm afraid it will get brittle, but only time will tell.

After reading several reviews, I decided to get this for my in-ground pool. In southwest Florida, my unheated pool is too cold to swim in for 6 months of the year and I wanted to make it "useful" other than costing me money running the filter pump. I bought two fountains and I couldn't be happier. Admittedly, if you're not adept to figuring out how to modify installs that are not perfect, this isn't for you. But, the PVC parts are very sturdy, the parts fit together just fine (no leaking joints), and adjusting the height of the spray is easy enough. What's tricky is getting the two to match, which happen to be side by side in my pool. And my wife and I love the fountain water noise. The sale price point was a bargain, but knowing what I know now, I would have paid the full price. This is NOT a sponsored review.

Kids like it but it can be a pain to keep it set at a certain angle. It does leak at every joint but for what it is it does the job
