I added prota to test the push button device for some fun with my espresso machine
I have above the average experience with devices, iot and have configured hundreds of devices, sensors (hue, insteon, vera and others). I added prota to test the push button device for some fun with my espresso machine, some light switches and others. Setup of prota seemed to work well, i added my push button and the app crashed. After that, i could not make things get normal again. I have factory reset the unit, reconfigured it, but after a few minutes it just shuts down. Seems very immature and experimental to me. After 5-6 attempts in the last few weeks and a few factory resets, i have one of the two push buttons now working, but i am not super impressed. As it took me a while to solve the setup issues, i have solved for many of my home automation scenarios i expected to use the push button with alternative approaches, so i decided to keep if for now as a solution that is complex and is now looking for a new problem to solve! The concept is good but i believe the setup and troubleshooting makes the task more complex than it seems*** updatedI managed to have it working. I found that the button and the device have to be ridiculously close to each other and that limits the application. 10 feet between the button and the gateway and things just dont work. The app is very slow as well, so i hope new versions deliver a better outcome as the concept is promising***update on my issues****It seems the distance between the gateway and the push button is the issue. 3 feet seems to be the maximum distance which basically made it a no go even with a long cable in my case.

Fun and flexible. Was happy to smarten up a few of my dumb appliances with these & Alexa
Setup with the Microbot Push app was really easy, had one running out of the box in a few minutes. The Prota hub was pretty easy to setup too, but I had to reset the first Push device so I could pair it with the Prota app. I setup a few of the Pushes using IFTTT and the Echo and have been having fun playing around with the devices. They're pretty adaptable and the Suruguru has already come in handy.

All looks good, nice devices
All looks good, nice devices, but the issue is the kit comes without Power adapters, and the gateway uses a 2A and the Button 1A , i really dont understand why they dont include the adapter, great packaging, looks they invested time on design this devices, now i have to order 2 different adapters, they asume you already have one in your house because of all the iphones, tablets, etc. Since i dont like to use new devices with old power devices designed for other devices I will have to order 2 to make this thing work.

After some automated email trying to help me make the best of my purchase
The product does work as advertised. What I'm rating is customer support which is dismal. After some automated email trying to help me make the best of my purchase, one of the problems with this kit is that it does not come with a stable 2amp USB power supply which is required for reliable operation. They offered a special $1 purchase for a power supply but you had to contact them directly via email. I contacted them, waited a couple of weeks, no response...so I made a follow-up email and after another 2 weeks, still no response.
