Ultimate Arsenal (Full Metal Superhero Book 9)

Better than Ex-Heroes by Clines.
There is much more to this story and I’m glad because it is worth reading.Amelia and Madisun(Wraith) take on Legion and Nemesis … on the moon. Krisan in space; Carlos grounded on Earth; Amelia in a trap.I love how the cause for powers and so much more is tied in and locked down. It’s tied up airtight and VERY well done. What a crazy ride. I’m so glad i discovered this author’s Grimm Wars series because it lead me here. This has been 9 books worth of great action, plot, and laughs. Wraith book 4 starts from here and continues the story.I have enjoyed these more than Ex-Heroes by Peter Clines.I recommend this series to absolutely everyone. Wow.

the last of Wheels McShooter?
Unless you'd been on this ride the whole time, it might be tough to keep up with all the crazy that goes down in this one. It's been a long run, but, in the afterword, Jeffrey H. Haskell states that this ninth volume concludes the Full Metal Superhero series. He does promise it's not the last we'd seen of Amelia Lockheart, our paraplegic nerd genius that armors up as the crimefighting Arsenal.Maybe some plot spoilers.ULTIMATE ARSENAL opens with Amelia and her fellow supers having embarked on a search and rescue mission for survivors in New Orleans as the biggest storm ever recorded pummels the city. During this, Amelia espies something that would propel the rest of the plot. Maybe you know this, or not, but Arsenal had a recent crossover with the Wraith in the Wraith's own series (in THE WRAITH: DANGER CLOSE). It's no spoiler - I mean, the book cover gives it away - that, in this one, the Wraith returns the favor. Also not a spoiler is that Madisun Dumas - a.k.a. the Wraith - survived the near nuclear blast in France that eradicated the last of the ISO-1 gang, courtesy of the demonic passenger that inhabits her body. It's a month later. Madisun is trying to stay on the down-low. Only, she's never been one to sit still and do bupkis. What possible mega-threat could reunite these two superheroes who stand polar opposites when it comes to methodology and philosophy? The Wraith kills and kills; Arsenal would rather not. It's ironic that, of the two, it's Arsenal who's bagged the more egregious body count. It's not even close. It says something that the demon residing in Madison is practically salivating at the thought of inhabiting Arsenal should something happen to Madison.Anyway, so what possible mega-threat? I'll say it's an extinction-level threat that comprises an ancient vault, and Jack the Ripper, and the secret purpose the Bank of England has shouldered these past 325 years. So, there's Arsenal and the Wraith and the rest of Amelia's Scooby gang once again combatting someone's try at world domination. It's a menace terrifying enough that it's got Madisun's demon shook. I suggest that you don't dive into this one without having read the preceding eight books in the Full Metal Superhero series. At the very least, eyeball the first few pages of this book as they give a synopsis of those first eight books. Think of this book as the culmination of everything that Amelia had gone thru in her short crimefighting career. The author throws everything at you. Callback after callback. Not to mention, the author references stuff that's happened in the Wraith's own books.Haskell writes a tight superhero yarn. The fighty fights are dynamically staged. It's striking how differently Arsenal and the Wraith go about their business of justice and how they employ their very dissimilar powers. And I ate up the character work. I enjoyed Madisun's interactions with Amelia and with Amelia's bunch. I'm glad Madisun and Kate "talked" it out. I'm bummed that Kate isn't in this one more. Come to think of it, Glacier and Boulder could've done with more "camera time." One of my favorite characters is Epic, who, as A.I.s go, is as memorable as AIVAS from Anne McCaffrey's All the Weyrs of Pern, Alpha from Andrew Seiple's Dr. Dire series, or Omega from John Conroe's Demon Accord series. At least Epic is prominent, as always, as the author continues to develop his own side story as Epic fosters a tight-knit relationship separate from Amelia.A lot of dangling threads get resolved. Some are left dangling, like Carlos' unsettled issues with the EU government. Maybe that'll be addressed in THE PROTECTORS, Haskell's next projected series due out in fall, 2020, and fingers crossed there's an Amelia sighting in it. And not to leave out Madisun, the fifth volume of THE WRAITH: SUPERHERO BY NIGHT also comes out circa the same time.

A.I. have feelings too
why do you hate me everytime this author writes a new book I can't but read through the night and day I love the chemistry of the characters although to be honest more a fan of arsenal than I am of wraith but thats just cause I'm a slight mecha fan but a the same time I like the recent new budding romance for Epic he deserves it

Great ending
Well it was an awesome ride. The insane adventures of Amelia were extremely cool and if you ask me she's the greatest hero I've ever read about. The wait for the Protectors and the next Wraith is gonna be hard but I'll gladly suffer through it so I can get my hands in more Amelia and Madi and all their friends.

Wonderful series
Having enjoyed this series so far, I was glad to jump back into this world, and it didn’t disappoint. Combining his Arsenal characters with Wraith one’s worked well and enhances the story.

It's been an EPIC Adventure!!!
I can't say enough about this series to properly express how much I have loved this adventure!Jeff has taken me on an adventure of a lifetime! From that moment when a recommendation popped up on my Kindle about a book called the Full Metal Superhero Arsenal last year to a year later when I am struggling not to cry to see a great series end! I understand why Jeff had to end the series but I still struggle with it.If you follow him on Facebook, you can find the video where he explains this.Arsenal is in a lot of ways one of the greatest of all superhero books! It's been a tremendous experience that I will remember for a long time to come! Please, please read this book and if you are someone like me that likes to check later book reviews before you jump into the seat for the ride... you will not be disappointed by it!Now to the future with more Wraith and the Protectors this Fall. Thank you Jeff for this awesome adventure!
