works well for me. Just what i was looking for.

I ordered the 1.5mm sleeves to make 200lb mono leaders for fishing. The inside diameter is a perfect fit for 200lb mono however the sleeves are short, about half of the length of what's shown in the picture. This matters because the crimp tool contact surface is larger than the crimp itself, this means the edges of the sleeve get crimped into the line (potentially creating a weak point). The aluminum is the correct hardness and they do crimp well, other than being short they are great sleeves.

These are consistently good. Are there longer versions available still?

I am working with monofilament for reasons unrelated to fishing, using fishing line to suspend objects in a UV light bath. Rather than tying each individual one off, I instead used these to create little loops at the end of the strands and looped them over hooks. Quite effective, and quite secure, testing revealed that the line would likely break before being pulled out of the crimp.I was using .9mm line and so used the 1mm crimps. Would recommend, at least for non-fishing applications.

Umm. From what I notice, there is just just one option to write a product review, irrespective of the size purchased.Well, for my first review, I purchased the 2.8 mm sleeves and had to return that as the internal shape was not circular; it was oval. So a 2.8 mm sleeve did not suit my purpose. All due to incomplete dimensions provided.As for my second review, I purchased the 1.5 mm sleeves, knowing from previous experience that this size would suit my purpose; and it did.The quality seems to be good and sturdy, but I will be able to reiterate this after use. So as of now, I have rated four stars; one less as I had to return the 2.8 mm due to incomplete dimensions provided.

Not Impressed with these crimps. You can put 50 pound mono line through once but you cannot get it through twice to create a crimp they seem to be a little bit smaller than the last brand I bought. So with that being said these are absolutely useless for my purpose.

Have not try the item as yet but so disappointed in the way it was falsely advertised and then you get it in a seld plastic with a sticker on it
