Our Crystal is a medicine hat pinto who is all white around her eyes and mouth. Because of this she is susceptible to sunburn. She has to wear a flymask year around to protect her from the sun and requires that the flymask extends down to the end of her nose. This creates a situation where the nose of her flymask gets very dirty and has to be changed out regularly. This flymask fit the bill for about six months. However, the constant removal of the nose piece did cause the material around the velcro holding the nose on to tear. But six months of changing it out more than once a week is the best performance we've seen so far.

Nice mask. The medium fits my 15’2 Tennessee Walker perfectly, although his head is a bit fine as far as Walkers go. I was a little concerned about the ear hole being one big hole, instead of two ear holes, bc the first one I bought like that never made it through the night. This one fits his jaw better, and it has been staying on until I take it off. Good, sturdy Velcro strap. I haven’t taken off the nose piece. I probably never will, as his white nose gets burned easily. It is really on there. I can’t imagine that it would ever come off by itself.

My grey gets eaten alive by flies so I wanted a long nose fly mask. He has a gorgeous forelock that gets rubbed under most other designs, but this was perfect.

Kensington makes the best looking and most durable fly masks. This purple mixed is the most beautiful yet and I love the removable nose cover.

Love love love Kensington fly mask. I have a few that are 3 yrs old and still going strong. I have a Appy with uvits and she must have a high UV protection fly mask. This fly mask is 75% protected. She also has the new 90% one as well

Best fly mask ever. I have horses that play all day long, after spending $500 a year on other fly masks I finally found this brand. Kensington are the only fly masks that last longer than a couple days.

I think it's back to the drawing board for this mask. The material is so hard and the nose piece so long that although it would keep flies off , my horses face is way too sensitive for this kind of face "armor." Also the velcro used to keep the nose piece on is like super velcro and strength is needed to get it on and off. I've used Kensington masks without ears, as I don't believe horses like their ears covered, but this is just way too much mask for the purpose of keeping flies off. There are softer masks and that is what I am going to buy. Returning. And, I feel sorry for horses who have this strapped on and can't get it off - and they really couldn't and would just suffer with this wrapped around their heads in my opinion.
