Easier to use a pick
I tried using this but it doesn’t work its way under the retaining clips. Used a pick to just move the clip so it was no longer in the grooves of the connector. It’s easy to lose this clip so be gentle.

I haven’t used them yet!
I haven’t used them yet I had to get the lines off the day I ordered them.They look like they would do the trick by the pivot seams a little flimsy.I don’t see why they couldn’t be used in 2 pieces if the pivot breaks so I’m not that concerned.

The halves are not the same and uneven when closed which makes it hard to install in line for retainer
