Quality Wooden Bokken
I would like to say that this Bokken is one of the better Bokkens available From the Amazon Storefronts. It was not only the most inexpensive, but also the most durable, being made of solid Oak. My only problem is with the finish, I should have gotten the one that came in white. As for the seller, Samurai Japan, I would like to say that they have the best service among martial arts equipment vendors on Amazon. The descriptions were accurate and the shipping costs were fair. Also, they deliver practically to most anywhere, and follow through on their deliveries, unlike other storefronts that claim to do so and come up short.

Bokken - Japanese Wooden Sword
Exquisite product in hardwood that evokes a bygone era. Great display item with character in the wood grain that shows durability. A safer item to have around than the actual metal sword.

not worth it
I have purchased many bokken for training and I have to say that this bokken is not worth the money. I received mine and not only does it have a small hole on it but it there is also a crack that runs from where the tsuba would be to about a quarter down the side where the hole is. I don't have the time, patience or paperwork to send it back so I just ate 30$ of my hard earned money on something that has defects. So put simply I will not purchase a second hand bokken of any kind from this company or through amazon again.
