POC Tectal Race NFC - Advanced trail, enduro and all-mountain bike helmet with aramid penetration reinforcement, a lightweight size adjustment system and MIPS protection

After 300km of mostly wild riding…….Eye watering MRR price, but discovered one lurking on Amazon heavily discounted. I am exactly between sizes and opted for the L which fits well with a thin skull cap. The Medium would have been too tight for Winter riding.meaure yourself carefully. I like the adjustable visor, the bright orange rear, the ability to attach a range of helmet lights and overall comfort. It has a tendency to roll down and forward over a long ride and I am still playing with the fine adjustment of the jaw bone straps. It only just accommodates my large lensed glasses. I loaded my beacon medical data onto its chip but wonder whether UK SAR has the technology to find it and me, hopefully we will NOT find out. (I carry a Garmin mini as well just in case in wild places should there be a crisis). MIPS of course and a long date stamp on it……win win.

Amazing helmet love it

Head measured 57.5cm, so I ordered a medium. It's pretty much a perfect fit. Easy to forget it's on. It has has great ventilation and good straps that tighten without feeling too restrictive. Plus the twitst fastener at the rear that secures the helmet all around your head. It provides a really snug fit, and it feels great to wear.I ride road/gravel mostly, so it might be a bit overkill. But I'm really conscious of how exposed the rear of my head can feel when wearing a road helmet. So I decided to get one that offered a bit more coverage. This covers all the way down to the base of my skull. Feels great, and makes you feel a bit safer. Knowing that all of your skull is covered in the event of a crash.It has the added benefit of having an nfc tag to store medical info. Very easy to set up with the app you download. Along with the medical info on my head unit, phone and smartwatch, it's like an additional fail-safe. In the unlikely event that they all break in a crash, I have this helmet's tag as a backup. Would highly recommend it.

Vibrant orange colour at the back.Price was even better than other websites, so al in all a mega buy....you only have one head so protect it with POC!!!!

gerat helmet fits well

This is my second POC helmet. . The first one was much more comfortable and I used regularly for 7yrs . The interior lining of thi helment after a few wears has come away and is so uncomfortable. I’ve tried to replace the padding for my tactical race mips but not been able to locate a supplier . I’m prepared to pay for it !!

La qualità è indubbiamente alta. Molto comodo in testa e leggero. Unica pecca è la mancanza della rete anti insetti! Casco completo di tutto: MIPS, sistema recco riflettente, NFC con dati sanitari e sistema AVIP, colore bellissimo. Unica cosa che avrei cambierei è il sistema micrometrico posteriore, avrei preferito il sistema BOA originale e non di proprietà poc!
