I didn't know I needed this, LOL. Works great.
I saw this on a car detailers site and tried it. Acts like a clay bar but quick and easy. Perfect after washing car to touch up horizontal surfaces like hood and windshield. Bought one for my son and loves it. Not a clay bar treatment, but perfect for touch ups. Holds up very well.

Good product
This is a really good product and did a really fine job, the stickiness is very strong and it cleans up the car really well. The main thing I did not like about this clay mitt/towel is that it is a little too big and it's kinda a pain to store after use. I can't decide wheather to cut it or use it on anything but the paint but I have purchased a smaller mitt and prefer to use that one on the paint instead of this one.I don't use it on the paint due to my own fault really but I stored it folded and couldn't open it apart unless I soaked it in water for a long time. I sorta lost my patience and forced it open and it damaged the clay a bit and made it bumpy. That's the only reason I decided to not use it on the paint. When I did use it on the paint prior it did a really good job

Use these properly and save hours of work.
I rarely give a five star rating as I don't "love" objects but while I may not love this I certainly do like it to the max. I hate claying my paint using the clay bars of old (and new) so figured I would give this a go. Combined with ONR and Optimum Spray Wax, two buckets with grit guards and good quality microfiber and waffle weave (drying) cloths, I was able to wash, clay, dry and wax a car in less than two hours. Try that with a clay bar.I read a few negative reviews and just want to remind users that the car should be freshly washed. The clay towel should be folded into quarters (don't know why one would use the microfiber side of the clay towel) and broken in on glass (windshield) before using on the paint. The surface should be kept very wet with a clay lube. I prefer ONR mixed to the lube ratio which I "believe" was 2oz to a gallon of water. Check the label people as I don't trust my own memory. Wet the area to be clayed with lube, dunk the cloth into the bucket with the lube mixture and keeping the cloth folded in quarters, LIGHTLY run the cloth over the surface. No pressure is needed and really, I said NO pressure. DO NOT rub hard. You will feel a slight drag at first but after a few passes you can actually feel the paint smoothing out (decontaminating) and the paint will feel silky to the touch. Flip the cloth over, make a few more passes to catch any spots you may have missed. Dunk in the lube bucket, swirl around a few times and move to the next section. Youtube has some excellent videos showing how to properly use Optimum products and a clay cloth.Seriously, used correctly, this cloth is a time saver. I did my bike and two cars before I ruined the cloth. If I wasn't stupid and I hadn't ruined the cloth, it would have easily done a few more cars. (Hint: Rinse it thoroughly when finished, dry it thoroughly and store in a thick freezer type plastic bag.) For $15 you can't go wrong. Just watch a few videos on proper use and you shouldn't have any problems. Oh, and I just bought a new one to replace the one I was too lazy to store properly. Hopefully I've smartened up.... OK, OK, I agree, that's expecting a bit too much.

Much easier than clay
I bought this a while ago and used it on my car a few weeks after i got it because i am lazy and it has been VERY hot and humid out. (Tampa, Fl.)It definitely cleaned the paint of debris that my micro fiber towels could not. It is a lot easier than using a clay bar and reusable. Paired with my detailer spray and my car looks a lot better than before.

okay idea, poorly executed and slow to arrive. solid seller communication, though.
price is "low" relative to other non-bar clay, towel or mitt type setups. might explain why it took a month to arrive.(FWIW-this would be better as a mitt, since flipping the towel to use the microfiber-ish back means you gotta grapple directly with the clay towel surface. that's pretty far from ideal.)we live near Chicago and generally have no delays in receiving items, whether USPS, UPS or FedEx.could live with that if the item worked. maybe i got a bad one -- but all i know is:after a thorough car wash, moved black car into my garage for several hours to cool off.took a plastic sandwich baggy, inserted my hand and wiped lightly across various areas of my car so i could easily confirm my car's contaminated finish. try it -- it's pretty shocking. anyway...LIBERALLY used Chem Guys "Clay Luber" and this "clay towel" -- plastic bag afterward confirmed no discernible change to the car surface but the towel (folded in quarters) was slimy. I'll say that's the luber.knew i had an unopened Simoniz S57 Perfect Finish Detailing Clay Bar purchased probably upwards of 5 years ago, written it off as unlikely due to its age; in fact this towel was ordered along with other detailing elements in anticipation of the claybar being dried out and unusable.au contraire! The Simoniz bar was pliable yet firm, fairly easily broken into thirds and rolled about between my palms to warm and soften it enough to spread it into the roughly 2.5"x2.5"x1/2" square i aimed to test out on that same hood area.it blew away the clay towel, but to be fair maybe the towel removed more than given credit and the bar just looked good coming in to clean up sloppy seconds?so i flipped over the clay bar, generously squirted the opposing side of the hood, similar area, and BAM! i'm going to need to do another pass, but i'll say it cleared >90% on a half-dozen side-to-side/up-and-down wipes.(Not going into a discourse on how to use a claybar as that's easily found on the 'Net, but you do need a good lube. The clay bar WANTS to glide across with little more from your hand than guidance -- NOT PRESSURE. Resist the urge to scrub your car's surface -- you've already given it a bath. And NO CIRCLES!)I will say the seller responded right away twice, to my questions. One regarding expected delivery range and the other after discovering este producto no es bueno. The second response offered a replacement, which once rejected, was replaced by offer of full refund, which was promptly processed.Tip of the cap there on all counts. Unless you're making each of these personally, by hand, can't see how one could possibly account for every item off the line. All in all -- unfair to size up an entire line of anything based on one, random experience.HOWEVER, in my case, while a 2nd item was offered (before the refund), the fact that original shipping took 30days was a deal breaker. Was curious to see how, and how well, this towel would clean up and refresh as that was a primary interest, initially.Back to clay bars it is...
