Blue Rug Carpet Stair Treads Set Of 4 CST260B

We recently moved into an old house with lots of wood stairs. Our two little dogs, who had always been willing and able to go up and down carpeted steps, could not negotiate the slick wood in their new home. Watching them struggle to climb the stairs was heartbreaking, and carrying them up the stairs was backbreaking. After searching Amazon and other sites for a solution to our problem, we decided to try the Blue Rug Carpet Stair Treads (set of 4, CST260B), and I'm glad we did! All our dogs needed was some traction to get them up and down the stairs without slipping and sliding. The stair treads provided that traction, AND they look very nice at the entrance of our house. In fact, they look better than I expected. Also, I find the carpets to be thin enough so we won't trip on them and thick enough to wear well.(We'll see.)There is one thing that potential customers must know: The carpets will NOT stay in place without double-sided carpet tape. But the price of the treads is reasonable enough that I was willing to buy the necessary tape. Don't waste your time trying rubber grippers that are supposed to keep carpets in place on wood floors; they don't work! The tape works great, and I was able to remove it from the floor, when needed.

Pretty much what you would expect given the price. However, they are perfect for us! We have an old Cape house that needed some serious TLC when we purchased it. We are also on a budget. Unless you really inspect the stairs, the slight size difference in a couple of the treads is not noticeable. My yorkie can now go up and down the hardwood stairs (as before she would just slip and slide). Definitely buy carpet tape though! As much as they try to be slip-free, these do slide on the stairs if not secured. I found the carpet tape worked great and I love the new look of our stairs! The color is great and I am very happy with the inexpenvise upgrade from the ugly dirty pink carpet that used to cover our beautiful hardwood stairs.

The color is very close to the photo. Doesn't look cheap at all, the thickness is just right. However, calling them non-slippery is a huge exaggeration. Unless you fix the treads with something, they move all the time and you have to constantly fix them. I'm disappointed. I have beautiful new stairs, very nice hardwood, and I don't want to use carpet tape since it ruins the finish. So I had hopes that these treads would really not slip - unfortunately, that didn't happen. But the overall look is very nice - if you figure out how to fix them.

I have 9 bare wood stairs inside the house that always caused concern because it seemed someone could easily slip off one of the stair steps.I tried these rug stair treads and they worked perfectly. Now I'm very confident running up and down stairs with no fear of slipping.Also, they look very nice. Note: The picture of stair treads is not quite accurate....they are not red at all but a very neutral ivory color with adark brown - tan- turquoise design depicted in the picture. They worked great for what I was looking for.NOTE: Customer service with this company was wonderful. One of the treads' designs was a little off-center (maybe 1/2 inch, not much) so I called to see if they would send one replacement stair tread and they did immediately at no charge).

They look nice, they have added a lot of security to walking up and down the varnished wooden steps. I am taking off one star because the description says that the backing keeps them in place. This is true while your weight is on it. However, they occasionally move just as you are taking your weight off of it. Not a safety issue, but they keep needing to be realigned. Double sided tape solved this problem, but the description led me to think it wouldn't be needed.

I recently moved to a duplex with 14 very steep hardwood steps to the 2nd floor. My 12 year old dog was having problems going up and down the UN-carpeted stairs. I wanted to get stair treads to help her out but I did not want to invest a lot of money as money was tight after the move and it is a rental. All sets I found other places only had at the most 12 treads so I needed to order 2 sets. This product was perfect, the price point was great, I could order a 12 set and a 6 set so I only have 4 left over that can be used as replacements if needed. The colors are a nice gold and brown and aqua on the off white background. For the price I paid they are perfect for my needs and Tiffany is now able to go up and down the stairs with much more confidence.

I bought the "ivory" treads. I put the word in quotes because they are darker than ivory, and the binding is dark tan. This would not be not an issue, except what looks like sage green in the picture is really a bright turquoise. I imagine I will keep them-- they are pretty, and seem to be a good value. But maybe a better description or picture would be helpful to those considering the purchase...?

I bought these for the same reason many others have, which was to help my dogs get up the stairs. I was having problems with one of my dogs who kept trying to sprint up the stairs and then ended up just spinning out and slipping and eventually got too scared to even try it. They aren't my favorite looks wise (just not my style) but they are the cheapest I could find. They dont stay in place perfectly by any means but I did glue some shelf lining to the bottom and that helps them to stay in place a little better.
