Great for stir fry or salads. Thinly sliced "strings" of scallions that curl prettily. I even crisp fried them and put them on top of soup. Added a nice flare and were tasty, too.

The blades shreds the green onions rather than cuts them so the some of the green onions are torn or does not cut through all the way. The blades dull quickly. If you want to shred a lot of green onions quickly and don't care about the consistency of the cut, then this tool works well. If you would rather have clean consistent cuts of green onion, its best to use a chefs knife and julienne them.

blades are so close together that pieces of the onion always get stuck between them. blades bend easily. It's good concept but need some improves in it. I'll buy a second generation of this to try)
