Digitally remastered collection. Steeped in the traditions of American burlesque, singing-actor and songwriter Frank Crumit was a seasoned vaudevillian long before recording made his extensive catalogue of drolleries available on both sides of the Atlantic. Bygone Days.

Gay Caballero
I bought this CD for my dad because he was always singing one of the songs he remembered (Bohunkus) that his mom sang to him. I was pretty sure he would like it and might even know some of the other songs. Also he was born in 1927 and I thought he might like to get a CD that the original songs had been recorded form 1926-1938. He was very happy to get it and said he really liked it. Itwas in excellent condition and was delivered right when it said it would be.

LEARN ABOUT WOMEN FROM FRANK
Frank Crumit recorded extensively, and this attractively packaged compilation covers the period between 1926 and 1938. His style was often that of a raconteur, and it's probable that this derived from his early start in a minstrel show, and his later career vaudeville. Highlights are his setting of Kipling's poem I Learned About Women from Her, and his hits Abdul Abulbul Amir and There's No-one with Endurance (Like the Man Who Sells Insurance). Remastering is excellent, and there's an informative liner note. His voice is higher-pitched than is the fashion nowadays, but if you can adapt to that you'll find much to enjoy here

Brilliant Frank Crumit CD
Bought as Christmas present for my Dad. He loved it and although I'd never heard any of the music before I really enjoyed listening. Very clear recording but still carries the old atmosphere of the original recording. Excellent buy!
