Great tool.
This is a quality built tool. It is light weight, yet strong. I have used it for 2 years now and the point is still sharp. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago!

A must have tool
I have been dealing with firewood for quite some time and a few years ago my wife bought me Woodchuck's log lift. Which is nearly an indestructible tool. As you know dealing with firewood is down right back breaking so after looking on Amazon I found the Woodchuck Hookaroon. Once I got I was like a kid on Christmas morning I tore the box open and went out pickin cuts up for about a half hour. I even rolled a few logs over with the added leverage of the Hookaroon. It was last weekend than I gave the ultimate test 9 hours each day; Saturday and Sunday, basically it was an extension of my arm. It currently looks like it has been used for years upon years. I beat this tool to the point where I had enough. It has held up and I really really wanted to test to its breaking or malfunctioning point and it has just taken the abuse. Great tool and a back saver for sure. Definitely a must for the firewood enthusiast.

Don't work as it should
This tool does not work ae it should and is way to much money, do not buy one!

Against the advice of someone, I did.
Nice pick. I like the feel of it. I docked a star because after a couple mixed cords of oak, hickory and cherry, the tip has worn down a bit and already needs resharpening. Part of it is probably operator error, but the tip would be better served made out of steel rather than aluminum. I would also love to have a few more inches of reach for when im digging wood out of the back of the truck, so i can reach that last row in the 6.5' bed without having to get up in the bed. Also, just a little more weight in the head would help sink the pick into wood a little more, but might adversity affect fatigue.As it is, its well built. I'm happy overall, and I think I sold a couple more for you. One to my neighbor, and one to a coworker.

Great aide in picking up brush, cut pieces of wood and especially firewood pieces and blocks.
Where has this been my entire life? To say I like it is really an understatement. Light weight. Becomes an extension of your arm. Like the finger peg. It allows for a better grip when picking up or pulling. It is also in the same orientation as the head. Allows you to know the direction of the head without having to look.

Saves alot of bending
Makes pulling wood out of the back of the truck easier. You can stab it in a chunk I wood on the ground an either drag it where you want or ease in picking it up

If you camp or have a mountain home, you need one to help collect firewood!

Worthless
Does not have a hook to secure the wood.Takes repeated stabs to get a grip on firewood. Worthless.
