Creative Saxophone Improvising + CD: An introduction to improvising jazz, blues, Latin, & funk for the intermediate player

A very good book, but the CDs are inconsistent. The two CDs that come with the book are labelled Tenor and Alto, but both have the same tuning note for Alto and in iTunes the Song Info for both shows as 'Alto saxophone'. I've just wasted an hour of my life trying to unravel this confusion and had to play each track to determine which is for Tenor and which for Alto and then amend the Song Info. Please OUP, correct and re-print the CDs. Life's too short to have to deal with errors such as this which should have been checked and made good before publication.

Ordered this to help with my sax playing, recommended to me by my tutor, really pleased with this book it includes two cd's one for alto and one for tenor sax, love the tunes inside, it is definately aimed at the intermediate player but im just starting studying for my grade 3 and think it would help grade 2 upwards!

Brilliant book- very clear and easy to understand

This is one of my favourite books, if you are into the Trinity/Guildhall Jazz syllabus. Good challenging tunes, with a CD.
