Incredible Black Velvet
Fantastic coverage viscosity adherence. Had to use angle grinder to remove it from stainless steel. Opake as Carlsbad Cavern lights out

Works great. To those complaining its too thick you can add water.

Better than expected
The gesso is pretty good for studio work. The only downside is that it is very thick and gooey. I use sponges to apply gesso and had to work faster than usual in applying it because of streaking. I always let gesso of any brand to dry/cure for 24-48 hrs. On day 2 I checked the canvas and it felt a little sticky so I gave it another day and it was fine on day 3.I recommend this brand gesso for studio work. I’d use another, better quality for gallery works.

Way too glossy for me
Great, thick coverage but dries very glossy. Ugly glossy - Looks like plastic. I don't care for the open jar container because it tends to dry out.
