Uncle Mike'sMirage Plain Ultra Duty Belt with Hook and Loop Lining

My department issued us the traditional Sam Brown type leather belts because our chief at the time had his head stuck firmly in the rear oriface of the 1980s. Traditional leather belts have no support, and sag where they have any kind of weight attached. The only way to mitigate the floppyness of the old leather belts is to wear them so tight that they cause pressure spots, restrict movement and even circulation. The edges of the old leather belts is also hard, and can cause pressure sores from sitting in a patrol car for extended periods of time.This is a nice alternative if you prefer the look of leather but want the rigidity and support of a modern nylon belt. The outside looks like leather, but the inside has a rigid core that supports the weight of a holster mag pouches without pulling and sagging. Also the edges have a layer of padding that makes sitting more comfortable. The supplied plastic buckle is ok, but I've used this type of buckle early on in my LEO career, and they're not that great. I combined mine with a separately purchased 2" Cobra Buckle for the added security.

Easy to wear. Light weight. Security features are appropriate. Would buy again

So I got this belt because my leather belt was destroying my lower back. Today was the first time I used it and let me tell you relief is what I felt. I am going to give this belt a 5 star but the only concern I have and would probably recommend is if you do buy see if you could find a better buckle. Overall this belt still gets a 5 star in all levels. I wear size 30 pants and got a medium and it fit great

The buckles feel a little cheap and flimsy so I didn’t want to take the risk so I switched them out with my previous belt buckles which are a little sturdier. The belt itself is a little thinner than other belts so my gear slides everywhere so that kind of sucks. Over all, I mean it does what it needs to do.

Im a LEO with over a decade in. I have had several different brands and styles of belts over the years.I want to love this belt. I like its weight and feel. It has a good strong buckle and seems secure when adjusted. I found one issue that for me is going to force me to return it. My duty gear has a few things that slide on but over the years I have switch to some clip on items. I have a mag pouch, radio holder, and TQ holder that are all using a BladeTech mounting system. The issue is this belt though it feels thin is slightly raised in the center do to the Velcro strip. This unfortunately does not allow the clips to fully engage and lock in place. You can see the back of the clip is slightly curved and because of this the clip will not clip into place. I tried and tried but none of my gear would catch and hold.The belt itself is great and I don't hold this issue against it. If you are going to be using the belt with regular slide on gear you should love it but if you use clip on item like I do this is not the duty belt for you.

This belt is great! I am a small female who had a difficult time keeping items off my back. This belt allows me to push everything forward so I can sit comfortably in a squad car. This belt is very light and contours to your body. There is no digging and no more heavy duty belt. I like that it is adjustable so if you lose it gain weight you can just move the folds in or out. Over all very happy. (This was recommended to me by a colleague who has had the same belt for 4yrs and it still looks new)

This is the perfect belt if you're not looking to spend a fortune but want a stiff, tough, stylish belt to hold your weapon and extras. I found the inexpensive Condor prodcut flimsy but this Uncle Mike's Duty Belt is exactly what I imagined.Searching through the Amazon selection I noticed tremendous variances in size and endless comments about belts being too big or small and people's frustrations getting it right. The belt I ordered is a proper medium. I wear a 34 or 36 waist and this belt could easily expand to handle a couple more inches or drop another inch or 2.A note for beginners: This and other weapon belts are NOT meant to be threaded through your pant loops; it goes OVER your pants and normal belt or the matching inner belt from Uncle Mike's as a 2-part system. You WANT it that way so you don't have to remove each of your accessories each time you take it off.
