This is the way to go! Make your solar lights last and last. Much cheaper than buying in store.

NiMH batteries are more expesive than NiCd batteries, but they also feature some improvements over their NiCd counterparts. One of the biggest improvements is that NiMH damages the environment far less. Their biggest advantage is their capacity, which is sometimes 2 or even 3 times greater than that of NiCd batteries They just have a short charge use, not as good as ... If you have not recharged them in a while they may hold little charge when the power goes out and you need them! I wish i had not bought them. Live and learn.
