Q: Worried.. how will these come packaged? Will they break?

I've noticed a lot mention about them coming completely cracked up and pulverized. I would not keep it, without contacting Amazon, but once they make it right and have you keep the product there is a way to fix it. Put all the powder in the compact for The center as much as you can. Slowly, slowly drip in rubbing alcohol until it is a thick paste. Then you can take a statue of some kind, I use a popsicle stick that I have in my craft box. Then stir It up and then flatten it out. a good thing to do next is to take a paper towel that has a nice texture and design, and lay it on top and then something that's firm and weighty the size of the compact and give it a little smashed but not too hard this will let the paper towel absorbs some of the excess alcohol and leave an impression of the design and the paper towel into the clay that you've made. Ben said it somewhere high where it can dry and won't get knocked off or banged around until it's completely dry and firmed up again. I do this whole lot with stuff like bronzer that gets to pan and it's all out on the edges and hard to use I break it all up and pull it to the center. Hope that helps someone.
