Beautifully developed story and wonderful characters. It keeps you wondering....could this be true?!

This is a book about a last man stand contest with 7 billion contestants and the idea is to kill or cause to die all the other contestants and be the last person alive. As you can already see - making sense is not a high priority with the premise. And the various contests are truly inventive if nonsensical.But, if you are going to write a book like this you need to have a good payoff. Something better than "this is hell" or "it's all a dream". And the author does have something different, but not good enough. And the poor ending stops the rest of the book from making sense.Maybe you can't write a book like this because a good payoff is impossible to conceive. Anyway - as experimental literature it's a decent 3 star read - just don't have hopes that it will all make sense in the end.
