I cringed when my husband said he needed new "around the house" Polo shirts. That meant, don't spend too much! Which is fine if you are willing to compromise on the Chemise La"Cost(e)" shirts filling your closet. But I decided to order these as they were 100% cotton and looked like they might work. I machine washed them...they held together and kept their shape. I hung them to dry (why push my luck?!) What a surprise! No they weren't quite as soft or rich feeling as LaCoste. But they were well made, they fit perfectly, they were lighter weight and looked good. Bought another one immediately. A perfect compromise and a happy husband.Update: The shirts are great...I ordered another as a birthday prsent and it came in it's see through plastic bag, not other container, this is the first time that's every happened. No bag of any kind, just the item with an Amazon label pasted on it...whaaaat?

I bought a couple of these to check them out after which I purchased several more colors. These are very well made, light weight cotton, fit like most shirts like this I've owned. They wash up well. I don't put my cotton shirts in a dryer, so I don't if these might shrink some if they were dried. Hang drying was fine and they didn't shrink. The colors hold up well after washing. The stitching and detailing is excellent. Some think the size runs a bit large, but I find it quite similar to other brands of polo shirts.

With 42,000 reviews already the only thing I’ll add is sizing. I wear a size 44R suit size and find myself in between a large and XL with most products. I first ordered an XL and it was voluminous in the body. Using the Prime Try Before You program I easily exchanged the same two polos for larges and had them in two days. Easy peasy. The Navy Blue is a deep rich color closer to a Kansas City Royals blue and the Army Green is a deep jewel tone, not Army fatigue green.

I got these to knock around in and use when I am most active outdoors, and I do not care so much about getting too sweaty. Fresh out of the package, they are big but tighten up with washing. They are not super soft however, they are not rough like a burlap bag. They work and the fit is good. I bought the X-Large, I am 6'2", 190lbs.

I'm a fat dude, so my latest problem is that I can't ever tuck in my shirt. Most of my shirt now show under belly, which is not as sexy as underboob!This shirt fits and is long enough for no under belly.

Amazon Essentials Men's Regular-Fit Cotton Pique Polo Shirt, Teal. Medium weight all 100% cotton, made in Guatemala. Ordered XL and it fit like an American XL. Drapes nicely. The stitching inside was very neat and the edges finished cleanly. Button securely fastened. There is even a spare button sewn onto the laundry tag. I did not see any loose threads anywhere.I ordered a 2nd in Navy hoping to wear it to work. I was hoping the picture of the Navy shirt was wrong, but the picture is accurate and the shirt really is Dark Royal Blue. Come on Amazon!

This shirt fit great! My husband is 6’6 and it’s difficult to find shirts long enough for him. He could tuck this one in. He normally wears a 3X, this one was a bit big on him, we are trying a 2X as well. Only complaint is it arrived with a small tear in the collar of the polo. Also, Amazon keeps dropping our packages at the neighbors house, right under the sign that clearly states her house number and my house clearly has ours displayed. Slightly annoying, as I have to go over and bother her for our packages so she knows what I’m grabbing off her porch.

In my day polos used to be soft thick 100 % cotton with generous sleeves covering the upper arm till above the elbows and collars standing high and grand and covering the back of the neck till below the hairline. They had substantial structure/body (shape that held) and ultra comfortable soft cotton. This was my go to piece of clothing to step out in (as opposed to round neck collarless T-Shirts that I wore only at home or for sporting activities).However, this simple good thing was not to be taken for granted. As time went by, I watched in horror this simple evergreen staple slowly vanish - being replaced by plastic, toxic, carcinogenic trash (synthetic, polyester, 'performance', 'hi-tech') being passed as clothing riding solely on deceptive/misleading/convincing marketing and rapidly transient 'fast fashion trends'. These pieces of junk being passed as 'performance polos'/'hi-tech' had no 'body', clung to your skin like plastic, caused my sensitive skin to itch, with arms so short as if there was shortage of clothing material in the world and were of such thin cheap uncomfortable material that I would wonder how in the world do people put these on their bodies.The 'trend' continued ...Fast forward to the present day, finding the 'cotton polo of my youth' is like finding a dinosaur. The polo I grew up with is practically extinct - replaced by trash made with ever cheaper feeling and more toxic materials. Its a win win for the corporates/brands - cheap synthetic lab created materials astronomically marked up (riding on advertisement) - filling the corporate pockets unlike never before and successfully 're-programming' the minds and purchasing behavior of the new generation to accept, get used to, and even get addicted to such toxic 'hi-tech' trash. As for the manufacturing ? No problem - hire some MBA's (with zero knowledge/passion for good quality textile/garment manufacturing) - their sole purpose to be 'maximizing profits' for the next 'earnings report' and they would find the 'cheapest' offshore factory to outsource the manufacturing to. This being a continuous process - if you get a cheaper bid from another factory, just switch to it. No wonder you can never get consistent material, sizing, quality for the exact same product purchased even months apart.Not just that - even brands that sold fantastic quality 100 % cotton polos at a very reasonable price like Tommy Hilfiger etc went STEEP DOWNHILL. A Tommy Hilfiger polo being sold today is NOWHERE NEAR anything like the quality they had even a few years ago (even though still being theoritically 100 % cotton, the quality (material, cut) now is absolutely junk - in fact they went from being my favorite Polo Shirts (thick, soft, cloud like cotton with generous neck and sleeves and amazing body, texture and shape and in high quality colors and finish) to absolutely shockingly unwearable pieces of garbage (thin, rough, itchy cotton with skimpy sleeves and flat collars and dull cheap finsih and colors with NO lusture, body whatsoever).I always wish I had seen this day come. I would have stocked up on a lifetim's supply of 'real' clothing when they were still available.Given the above, I am extremely surprised (pleasantly) by this Amazon Essentials Cotton Polo. This is 100 % cotton, has generous non-skimpy sleeves and has decent material and shape reminiscent of the 100 % cotton polo I am habituated to from my time. Quality of material wise - it is about 65% - 70% of the cotton polos of yesteryears - BUT - even THAT - is like finding diamond (or a dinosaur) in these abhorrent-clothing-times for the 100 % cotton polo lover.Get this before the 'real cotton polo' is gone for good. I think I may be getting a few.

The material is soft and easy care 100% cotton with a more regular than slim fit. I bought the large and the sizing is accurate, although it feels too big until the first wash and tumble dry when it shrinks to the correct fit, which is to be expected for a cotton top. They’re the same style and quality as the IZOD polos I used to buy previously but at a lower price and these are more regularly in stock of colour/size combinations. They also match perfectly with the Amazon chinos I bought.

Good quality, just look to buy one to two sizes smaller. Much better quality than Chinese shirts available in Australia

Material is only good before the first wash and the large size is like extra large.

Very poor quality product. Sizing wrong. Returned for credit.
