I enjoyed every minute of this documentary. It contained things that I never knew about Fanny Crosby and her songs and poetry.

I have always loved Fanny Crosby's life story since I had a VHS of her life and times. I'm happy to have a dvd of it now. The dvd was packaged well and in good condition.Thank you for making it available. It's been on my wish list for nearly a year.

This documentary is too short to fully convey the full life of Fanny Crosby! At 46 minutes it uses reenactments and narration to tell Crosby’s story. This production seems to be a segment of a faith-based series featuring select people of faith. The production values are adequate and the pacing is steady and coherent. For what it is, it does provide an informative overview of her life. With that said, she is deserved of a more exhaustive documentary (she lived to be nearly 95, so there is a lot to tell!). Reading a related biography will be needed for details.Despite being blinded as a child she became a prolific songwriter and was a house-hold name in the late 19th century. She is best known for her over 8,000 hymns she either wrote, or co-wrote. Many are still utilized to this day. In addition, she also composed patriotic songs and secular songs. If this were not enough of an impressive accomplishment, she was also a teacher, speaker, missionary, and in many ways could be considered an activist for the blind. Above all, she was putting her faith in God into action – an example we should follow!

I highly recommend The Fanny Crosby Story. Christians will be blessed and inspired each time they watch this short biography (46 minutes)of a poetess that was greatly used by God. God drew Fanny in a very unique way as He does each and every person who comes into His fold. "I have loved thee with an everlasting love and with lovingkindness have I drawn thee". This He did in Fanny's life as He has done for others and as He will continue to do.And this story is also for those who have never yet made a decision for Jesus Christ. They are still carrying their burdens like Pilgrim in John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. Jesus invites them with "Come unto me you who are heavy laden and I will give rest unto your souls". He is the same wonderful God that Fanny knew and in Whose presence she resides along with all the other Saints who have gone to glory.The best part of this biography as for the biographies of other eminent Christians of the Church is how our great God worked in and through Fanny's life. Certainly His glory is manifested in this humble life that was devoted to Him.I known I will want to watch this many more times and I am sure it will be a blessing each and every time. I hope that pastors, churches, and church librarians will order a copy or two to bless and inspire their congregations.

The DVD is a short 46 minutes but still some good information here. If you're a Fanny Crosby fan you will find this DVD is good enough but I think reading a book about Fanny's life would be a whole lot better experience. The quality is about as good as a inexpensive TV documentary but the commentators are better than average.Her story is very dramatic, the amazing life she lived, her gifts and Christian testimony deserve it done so much better. It would help inspire people to see how God work so mightily in the American Christian era that has passed away now, yet that would have taken a lot of money and talent to produce, not an easy thing to do.Without hearing any preaching many people found salvation or rededicated their lives by hearing the hymns she wrote, the Holy Spirit just talk directly to their heart with the words and medley of the hymn. Good story. True. Most prolific hymn writer ever.

Just what I was looking for. REALLY liked having a commentary.

Brilliant account of a trail-blazer. So much respect for Fanny Crosby who beat the odds and created such a positive effect on so many people. And great respect for Jeff Dewsbury who did such a great job of writing this story.This is a film that is inspirational for any viewer.

AN INSPIRING STORY FOR CHRISTIANS BUT HARD TO FIN.

I thought this DVD was well done and I will appreciate her music much more. The only thing I knew about her was that she was blind.

Worth keeping! Interesting story of her life.
