Perfect size
I use these to soak plant seeds prior to germinating in the hydroponic system. The seeds are so teeny so this size petri dishes are perfect.

Like any other plastic petri dish--OK but expensive for what you're getting
These petri dishes work fine but like all plastic petri dishes they are way overpriced. I recently discovered that I can buy flat, clear acrylic cosmetic containers with screw-on lids that work equally well for one sixth the price.

Perfect for a craft
Purchased these for an escape room game. They are not thick plastic. They are thin plastic. Worked perfect for my task. Lids fit well and the pieces are uniform.

Great for germinating
I use these to germinate difficult or stubborn seeds. Smaller than the Petri dishes in the lab so they don’t take too much space when I stack them up. They work great and are easy to clean/sterilize for the next batch.

No agar
You are unable to grow bacteria in it because there is no agar. My daughter’s science fair project was ruined. Make sure to get a Petri dish with dried nutrient agar.

Great for board game pieces
Size works well to hold our board game pieces (Pandemic) and still fit inside the original game box. Approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter. Lids simply lay on top of dish, which is appropriate for petri dishes, they do not snap on in a secure way.
