A good product, quickly delivered. It isn't particularly attractive, though -- gray, in a white sink. And though it doesn't clog, differing from my previous (and more attractive) metal strainer, I think many small hairs just pass through into the pipes. That doesn't seem like a good idea in the long run (especially with my septic system), but it's too early to tell. The main benefit compared to my previous drain protector is that it doesn't (so far) get clogged and leave a pool of water in the bathroom sink.

I got tired of clogged drains filled with hair so I tried this. Every week I pull it out of the drain and remove the hair, glad it didn’t mess up the plumbing again. It’s unbelievable how much it traps. Great invention!

This sink stopper does keep the hair from plugging the drain. But I wear contacts and have to put the original stopper in so I can stop the water from draining.

So very happy with this product.Just amazing whoever invented this.

It works okay just sticks out of the sink different.

Gets clunky really fast and blocks the drain, then water starts to pile up because it's blocking the drain.

Great for my basement wash tub. Can't figure out how to use it in bathroom sink.

I was shopping for a replacement for my bathroom sink drain stop when got broken. I came across the Sink Shroom during that search and decided to give it a try. At the time I bought it I was more concerned with finding something to temporarily block things from falling down the drain if accidentally dropped, but It turned out to be a handy replacement for two reasons.Not only does it fit easily to keep unwanted things out if the drain but it keeps the hair out of my drain too. My daughter and I both have long curly hair that always ends up in the drain no matter how much we try to avoid it. I used to have to use a long tool to dig those clumped up nasty strands out of the drain every week. The Sink Shroom catches those rouge hairs before they end up down deep in the drain. The middle of the Sink Shroom is a tube of sorts with holes in it that allow water to run into the tube and down the drain as the hair gets caught by the “shelf” at the bottom and wraps around the center. The top “shelf” blocks other things from going down the drain.Each week now all I do is take it out of the drain and use a Clorox wipe to pull the hair off and wipe off the Sink Shroom. 1 Star deducted because1) over time black slime builds up. I’ve soaking overnight in bleach but it won’t come off. I ended up buy new after 1 year because I can’t stand the yuck after so long.2) the drain empties slower then it could. This happens mainly because the bottom shelf if larger for my drain than needed. It does fit because there are strategic cuts in the silicone that allows the round shelf to bend upward on top of itself just enough to get a tight seal that fits well in my smaller drain. the bending also makes the holes in the shelf smaller due to over lap which really can slow down allowing less water to flow through. This is especially true as hair gets captured and starts to build up on the shelf. It would be nice if they could figure out a way to fix this issue as it would help eliminate a lot of the black slime that builds up too. I’d still recommend this product though. I’ll buy a new one every year if I need to.

El agua se estanca a pesar de que es sólo agua entonces tarda en irse, lástima y el precio no es barato. No me funcionó.

Cumple perfecto su función, no pensé que fuera tan útil y discreto, estoy muy satisfecha con esta compra. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Me gustó que sí funciona y no se ve mal instalado.
