The item is as described, it latches onto the trim around the vents. The actual part that holds the phone is your typical phone mount materials. Seems sturdy and does hold the phone well. The electric sensor works fairly well and only really had an issue when the phone got damp from the rain. There does not seem to be an easy way to release the phone if it completely loses charge/breaks. An ability to use it manually would be nice.My biggest gripe is with the mount that connects to the dash. It's made of a different plastic that looks like it may be prone to breaking if removed repeatedly. I initially installed it a bit too close to the hazard button and taking it off required a fair amount of force. Nothing broke, but it was nerve wracking enough to avoid doing it again. With that said it really does latch in place, my complaint isn't with the design just the materials.There are a few other things to note, no instructions come in the box and the cable that comes with it is very cheap. The installation is pretty simple, but definitely look at the pictures online before trying to snap it onto the dash. I would also swap that cable out for something more reputable. Combine that all with a fairly high price and there's definitely room for improvement. Despite those flaws I still like it, there aren't currently many options for the 2023 Civic and this was the sleekest looking one I could find.

Really like this phone holder and it's the only one that I know of made to fit my 2023 Honda Civic Sport but after a month it is already loosing it's gripping power and the phone will slide down until it ready to fall off. Real bummer because it's more expensive than most.

breaks easily i had to replace the car mount twice

It doesn't fit the 2023 crv touring 9" screen at all. I cut the holder so many times, trying to fit my screen, but it wouldn't. So if you do the same, I'll show you here how to do it so you save a ton of time.Funny enough, it turned out way better than if you're using the whole piece. The heat resistant tape you can find on amazon, holds everything in place. Very good, strong bond.At this point, even if they come with a crv compatible size, I will keep this.This phone holder concept is genius. There's literally no better position for your phone than between the steering wheel and the screen. You don't have to look down, it doesn't block your vision, you never lose sight of the road.It might seems a little crazy to do what I did, but it was pretty easy, and as you can see pretty good looking. Maybe be easier with sanding and that's it.Hope it helps!

I have the galaxy s22 ultra in a otterbox defender and it won't even slide in between the clips.

Love the magnetic grip and the ease of use. It holds my phone sturdily and I can remove and replace my phone with ease as a rideshare driver. Fits perfectly with the unique honeycomb grille of new Hondas. Just be sure that you have it in the place you want it when you first install it. We originally placed it somewhere else just to see how it worked and it was very difficult to move. It grips so strong, I was afraid I’d crack my car’s grille moving it! But we got it moved.

Product was great but after 3 months of use plastic pieces broke that attach to vents. Wish it lasted at least a year. I won’t purchase again.

The phone holder is easy to use however I did experience multiple situations where the button would not open the arm back up after closing. Had to do some rework myself to get the sensitive to work just right.

Worked quite well although sometimes it would go unresponsive. Clean looking and fit perfectly for the 11th Gen Civic. The ball joint just snapped while driving. I’ll probably try super gluing it before I buy another as it’s gone up in price.

Didn’t fit my vents in 2023 crv the clip didn’t go deep enough into vents unfortunately just wanted to let people know as the vent is same style but inset more into dash on the crv

This holder is made specifically for the 2022-2023 Honda Civic with honeycomb air vents. I absolutely adore this holder. I highway drive 40 mins twice a day and the holder and phone doesn't move. It's amazing! It may seem pricey but I promise it's well worth it 100%. Highly recommend
