3m Weather Sealing Tape 1-1/2" X 30'

I finally found a tape that works. It has excellent adhesion and works well to stop air leaks around some old windows. Check out their other products too.

Used this on 6 wood framed single plane glass windows. Worked great. Plenty of tape included, stayed fixed to painted wood frames all winter (interior) and worked really well to regulate temperature. Great option for the space I rent for my business, definitely saved me a bundle on heating costs.

Yes the paint on your windows will come off...expect it. Followed the directions and wiped down windows frame surfaces to be covered with rubbing alcohol. These are 6 over 6 windows (wood muntins). The good news, I could feel a difference immediately. Bad news, on muntin sash windows it is absolutely impossible to install as directed neatly. Have your utility knife handy to slit in for muntins and window track, multiple pieces/cuts will be necessary, expect folds and air gaps in the tape. Less drafty...yes, Martha Stewart inspection ready?....hell no.

Been using this for years. Love that it doesn't tear the paint off the window edge and doesn't leave any stickiness behind on the untreated wood portion of the frame. Goes on and removes easy. Not a ton on the roll so get a few if you're doing a few windows.

It works great, it’s oN me for not cleaning the area properly. Should you get these, just please make sure you clean the area before hand with something like alcohol. It totally helps with he adhesiveness to it.
