just slightly too big for my purpose
I bought these thinking to use them inside my standard 12" dutch ovens. Most people use their dutch ovens as a big iron pot - and they work great for that but if you want to most out of your dutch oven, you have to think of it as an actual oven and provide airflow around the food. That means cooking in a vessel inside the dutch oven. Three small stones (or better, a cake rack) provide the stand-off underneath the pan.Unfortunately, the dutch ovens are 12" at the top but taper toward the bottom. These pans are straight-sided. They don't quite fit. What I really need for this purpose are 10.5" by 2.5" pans.

This could happen to you
I bought one of these pans believing the reviews. Here is what was sent. The pan had large dents along the rim, tool marks all over the inside and outside, scratches on the outside bottom some discoloring on the inside and a "light duty" metal thickness. The seller's explanation was that this is a "commercial use" item and manufacturing marks are a norm. No other explanation, but an offer to send it back was made. My question is if a carpenter sees hammers displayed with handles in the rough and ugly tool marks on the hammerhead is this how all hammers are supposed to look? or will he want a clean well finished handle and hammerhead? You be the judge. Question the sellers before purchasing, it's what is left out of the description that will get you.

Nice addition to my kitchen.
Very nice pan. It's just the right size.I use it for baking and roasting. Fits beautifully in my countertop oven. I liked it so much I bought a second one.

GREAT PAN LINE!
SIZE is Perfect for that in between when establishing perfect proportional wedding cakes! Love this line of pans. Bakes evenly and washes great!

Used as drip pan
I have an Orion smoker and the drip pan that comes with it is too short for long smokes. This pan fits perfectly and you can have more wood chips around it due to it being taller.
