Parrish's Magic Line 9 x 6 Inch Aluminum Doll Cake Pan

Wish it came with baking instruction (like how long it takes to bake) the middle took forever to bake but I made a barbie dress cake with this and turned out great!

I thought I'd purchase this as a quicker way to make doll cakes then layering cake layers & carving them into a dress form as is usual when a customer orders one. Tho it was a bit quicker, there were a few drawbacks. First off the directions that were included say to use one cake mix. This is not enough. It left at least 4 inches of space from the top of the pan which made the "dress" waaaay too short. Also, if you use an actual doll (as opposed to the doll picks you can get at craft stores or Wilton's) you must either break the torso off the legs & use just that or bake an additional cake base to use under the dress part to add height. The Barbie doll is much too tall otherwise. On a positive note, I really like the shape of the dress with this pan a lot better than the others offered. And it is a very well made product. You definitely need to bake the cake for a longer time than recommended, too.

The cake baked beautifully in this pan - it was neither overdone on the outside nor undercooked in the middle. One note however: my regular sized cake recipe did not fill the pan all the way. Not wanting to overfill the cake pan, I whipped up a second cake and split it between an 8" round cake pan, and a 9" round cake pan. With all 3 stacked together, they were the perfect size to fit a standard sized Barbie doll (her legs would've been too long otherwise, making her hips stick out the top).

I decided to make my daughter a princess cake. Very easy to bake a cake in this "pan". Though you may want to cook a little longer then said because the inside takes a while since its so think. I bought a barbie doll and cut a hole in the top of cake and down the center. Placed the doll inside and covered both the cake and doll with icing making it look like a fluffy dress. She loved it!

I used this cake pan to make a princess doll cake. It was PERFECT. I thought there would be a booklet that came with it to give me other ideas, but I didn't get one in the box. I would recommend this product! I had no issues. It comes in 5 parts. You have to attach the pan to the base and screw in the pole in the middle. It was not difficult to get it together at all.

The cake was difficult to bake until done. Easier just to bake layers and trim them. I can understand that it is not the fault of the pan, as it is impossible for that much batter to bake uniformly in this design.

We used this pan to make a barbie cake for my daughter's birthday. The cake pan looked a little more solid than the other pans that were sold specifically for a doll cake kit. The cake turned out well for her birthday, and they included an instruction book for several other cake designs so I think that we will be able to use this pan many times.

We ordered the cake bowl to create monster high cake for my daughters birthday. Unfortunately, when we got the bowl it was missing the piece that holds the rod in place. I emailed the company and they got it right out to us. I can't say enough about their customer service...
