You won't find a better pair of glasses.
Top pair of shades. They feel light and crap but in fact they are top quality. The lens are something else mind. Best I've had.

Think I'll be keeping these for a while!
I'm a bit of a sunglass geek. I'm frequently buying and reselling shades just to satisfy my curiosities about different companies' lens technology and build quality. I find that I keep coming back time and again to Smith Polarized Chromapop Grey Green as my absolute favorite sunglass lens. I've had several models with this lens - the only reason I sold them was because I could never quite find a model that had the right fit and style for my face. I finally found that in the Basecamp! Style and fit will be different from person to person but these are pretty much exactly what I was looking for.Just to reiterate my recommendation about the Polarized Chromapop Grey Green lenses - I have tried lenses from just about every major manufacturer and nothing beats these lenses in my opinion. They enhance certain wavelengths of the color spectrum and block others so as to improve contrast and definition. The effect is subtle but the world really does look more beautiful through these lenses (especially on a sunny day - on overcast days other lenses might have an edge). Back-side glare is well controlled too, which is an often overlooked aspect of non-wrap style glasses. Just a note - be aware that Chromapop Grey Green lenses come in both polarized and non-polarized. I strongly prefer polarized and would recommend them for most people, but some may have valid reasons for choosing non. Just make sure you know what you're ordering.Build quality is good - if you really want solid feeling frames with thicker, denser plastic, then you might be more impressed with Costa, Serengeti, or Persol. But I have never had a problem with Smith frames - they are designed to be lightweight and can feel a little flimsy, but they seem to hold up fine. The only thing that DID annoy me just a bit about these Basecamps is that they did not include a hardshell case. C'mon Smith - I would have gladly paid a couple bucks more for a real case! All you get is a microfiber cloth. I ALMOST subtracted a star for this but really, these are great glasses so I'm leaving all 5 stars in place.
