Doesn't Stand Up on it's Own
I like the amount of water this holds for taking our pup on a walk. She's pretty lazy and wants water a lot, so this was great for her. However, I was hoping that water would automatically drain out into the bowl once the bottle is set upright. This doesn't work like that. Instead, I have to squeeze the bottle to get any water. It also doesn't stand up on its own, so I can't just set it on the ground and wait for her to be done. Either the entire bowl tips over or the bottle falls (it doesn't lock into the bowl when standing it up to get water out) It's okay for the price still but I'll be looking for something better in the future.

Cheap water bottle + drink tray combo for pets but easy to damage trying to use.
Review for larger size bottle: Basically they took a squeezy drinking bottle (were you squeeze and drinking nipple pops out) and attached that to plastic drinking tray. Down side is it has very, very piss poor design issues. Do not travel or store full except closed and standing up...or it will leak. Upside, it was so cheap that don't care if gets left some where or dogs get rough and break it.Issues: Squeezy bottle has cheap o-ring / gasket to seal nipple. It's going to leak. They decided to make the lid / drink tray something that should stay attached to screw top. Yes, there's open hinge with very flimsy plastic hinge pins. But if you remove it more than few times, they will break. So you're screwing ENTIRE tray around to remove top to fill. The entire opening / closing system for bottle nipple is controlled by tabs inside the drinking tray bottom and side. So basically when bottle is extended to fill tray it's all held up by the weakest part of entire thing... the tiny, loose nipple. This will make bottle VERY wobbly and you may be tempted to push fully over to stabilize against side of tray. HOWEVER, this will force nipple out of bottle and can be pain in butt to push back inside. Cheap plastic nipple + cheap plastic insert hole in top + cheap oring = this get up WILL leak after awhile. It's gonna happen. If you get it just accept it's coming and prepare for it.Bottom line: The entire design is an upside down drinking bottle with attached hard tray that always seems to find a way to leak when it's inconvenient but can't seem to gravity trickle fill the tray when you need it too. So always squeezing bottle to get water out for pooches waiting for you to make it work!

This works perfectly.....
We have been looking for something that works for our dog. We do alot of hiking and we needed something that would be efficient in a backpack. When I got this, it got the thumbs-up from the other family member. The only issue we have is that even with explanations and measurements, sometimes it is still hard to judge until you have it in your hand. So far, it has held up really well. The bottle is not as big as we would have liked particularly when we are out most of the day hiking BUT honestly the efficiency we get right off the bat with this bottle makes that issue fade out. I just wanted to mention it, but that we also don't regret the purchase.

Flimsy, but works for travel
The bottle leaks - I found this out the hard way. I do use it when we travel, but only the bowl portion. I just pour water into the bowl so the dogs can drink it a little at a time. If you fill the bottle and expect to carry it around, it will leak. It's pretty compact, so that is why I didn't rate this product lower. It fits in the door cup holder of the car, which is handy. It does NOT fit any other water bottles except the one that came with it, which would have made this a much better product.

Perfect size for a smaller dog and my pocket
I actually have a larger one of these, so buying this smaller version was deliberate. I found the larger one great but a trifle large for my vest pocket, which is where I carry the dog's water on summer walks. This smaller version is just right and has worked well. It's sturdy and my dog shows no hesitation at lapping up water from it. It's also easily and has a strap for easy carrying should you prefer to tote your dog's water jug in your hand. I'd definitely buy again and may be buying another large version for a friend to use with her Goldens. Good product.
