Great heater. But had to return
I am a Home Builder and I purchased this to host one of the homes I was building because the gas company is having a shortage in Meters plus the basement apartment has mini splits so I won't have any heat until the end. It was darkly easy to hookup. I went off of the recommendations and got a 50 amp breaker and hardwired a 6 4 wire I had extra of directly to the breaker. I'm not sure what some of the bad reviews were about. It works like a furnace warm air but with a big enough fan to circulate it through a fairly large home. I used it on a 2 story hoke plus a basement and it heated the main and upper floor just fine. So about 3000 sf. Obviously the upstairs wasn't as warm. So for the price I would definitely recommend this. It saved me money from the bugger name brand and the larger heater I read you have to use a 100 amp breaker or it trips. I'd like to see if it would run off a standard 8 4 range outlet. My Electrician said it could heat up the wires more and 40 amp might trip..Update. 3 weeks later have to return . They accepted the return through Amazon. The Hester started sparking and making a noose like a screw caught in the blade. Which is unfortunate because it was heating the basement and main floor really well on a 4300 sf home. The upstairs we had the furnace running.

Fraud worthless
This heater is made just for the look if you need to get warmed up try to buy some thing that works, don’t waste your money for that item which is completely failure, and they are just selling it out, trying to make some money on a product that failed , I am really sorry

Commercial heater
Works great keeping 2500 Sq ft house warm for sheetrockers 2 floors. Not too noisy and quality seems fair. Only 1 month old no complaints yet. Been running for almost 2 weeks straight

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
I purchased this heater for a small warehouse, 50X20 feet with a 8 ft ceiling. The heater has been on for over 14 hours and it has only increased the temperature by 2degrees. so we had to switch back to the 2 30 amp heaters that we previously used and cost us half the money. I contacted Amazon support and they told me to contact the vendor directly, which they in turn tried to give me a bunch of nonsense about possible improper voltage(which is not the problem) and then said the breaker might be to small(not the case). We have a licensed electrician, the heater states 10000 watts. 10000/240v*1factor = 41.66Amps. and the breaker is 50 amp. and amp read test shows 40.2 amps draw from the heater on each leg. So the problem is not the power. Now they required me to send all my paperwork and said it may only have a 30 day warranty, but amazon states 90 days. I am still waiting....... Also I will mention that the first rep I spoke with from the retailer hung up on me and I had to call back again.

Well worth the money
Heavy duty. Draws 42.9 amps at 244 volt. Tires are solid rubber. Fan seems well balanced. Only thing I would recommend is that I wanted the 15KW version but the amp draw was so high I got the 10 KW.When connecting the line cord I look and they use heating elements in 5 KW sections, so I would recommend getting the 15KW (only $12 more) and just unscrewing 2 terminals and then you have 10KW and a spare element. This cost less than half a similar heater at northern tool.

OK
This works mildly well. It doesn’t put out a lot of heat and draws Al lot of power. It’s a good alternate of you don’t have gas available for temp heat.

Works great on job sites!
Great for small unheated job sites

Pretty ineffective as a heat source.
Lackluster heat output for the size and energy consumption. Perhaps this heater is better suited for insulated spaces, but for new / remodel construction it did very little to warm up the space to help keep the subs working efficiently. We had to fall back to using propane and kerosene heaters to be able to keep the work going.
