Q: Can these shoes be worn on the street?

Absolutely. They are very comfortable to walk on all surfaces. The gripping pattern on the sole is fairly low profile and well constructed so I believe they will wear well with walking on the golf course. Wearing them on pavement will wear the gripping surfaces much quicker. Overall, a great shoe for flat and dry courses. (A hilly and wet course would benefit from a more aggressive sole pattern).

Q: Are these true to size? fJ's I've had in the past run half size big

I wear an 11 D shoe and this was a perfect size. Footjoy offers an 11 or an 11 wide. On Amazon an 11 wide was recommended. I have had Footjoys before AND I went to a golf store and tried a footjoy on before I ordered at Amazon. If your foot is wider than D you may need a "wide". My 11 fits perfectly.
